Spring Boot 的 Actuator 提供了很多生産級的特性,比如監控和度量Spring Boot 應用程式。Actuator 的這些特性可以通過衆多 REST 接口、遠端 shell 和 JMX 獲得。
一、Actuator 的 REST 接口
Spring Boot Actuator 的關鍵特性是在應用程式裡提供衆多 Web 接口,通過它們了解應用程式運作時的内部狀況。Actuator 提供了 13 個接口,可以分為三大類:配置接口、度量接口和其它接口,具體如下表所示。

GET | /metrics | 報告各種應用程式度量資訊,比如記憶體用量和HTTP請求計數 |
GET | /metrics/{name} | 報告指定名稱的應用程式路徑成本 |

要啟用 Actuator 的端點,隻要在項目中引入 Actuator 的依賴即可。對于 Maven 依賴,引入的依賴是這樣的:

1. 檢視配置明細
Actuator 有一些接口不僅可以顯示元件映射關系,還可以告訴你自動配置在配置 Spring 應用程式上下文時做了哪些決策。
1.1 獲得 Bean 裝配報告
要了解應用程式中 Spring 上下文的情況,最重要的接口就是
/beans
。它會傳回一個 JSON 文檔,描述上下文裡每個 bean 的情況,包括其 Java 類型以及注入的其它 bean。傳回的資訊如下所示:

所有的 Bean 條目都有五類資訊:
- bean:Spring 應用程式上下文中的 Bean 名稱或 ID。
- resource:.class 檔案的實體位置,通常是一個 URL,指向建構出的 JAR 檔案。這會随着應用程式的建構和運作方式發生變化。
- dependencies:目前 Bean 注入的 Bean ID 清單。
- scope:Bean 的作用域(通常是單例,這也是預設作用域)。
- type:Bean 的 Java 類型。

基本上,任何能給Spring Boot 應用程式提供屬性的屬性源都會列在 /env 的結果裡,同時會顯示具體的屬性。
為了避免敏感資訊暴露到 /env 裡,所有名為password、secret、key(或者名字中最後一段是這些)的屬性在 /env 裡都會加上“*”。舉個例子,如果有一個屬性名字是database.password,那麼它在/env中的顯示效果是這樣的:
/env 接口還能用來擷取單個屬性的值,隻需要在請求時在 /env 後加上屬性名即可。
1.4 檢視屬性的使用方法
/configprops 接口會生成一個報告,說明屬性如何進行設定(注入或其他方式)。

這裡我們可以看到不少接口的映射。每個映射的鍵都是一個字元串,其内容就是 Spring MVC 的 @RequestMapping 注解上設定的屬性。實際上,這個字元串能讓你清晰地了解控制器是如何映射的,哪怕不看源代碼。每個映射的值都有兩個屬性:bean 和 method。bean 屬性辨別了 Spring Bean 的名字,映射源自這個Bean。method屬性是映射對應方法的全限定方法簽名。
2. 運作時名額
對運作時名額情況做一個快照,這對評估應用程式的健康情況很有幫助。Actuator 提供了一系列接口,讓你能在運作時快速檢查應用程式。
2.1 檢視應用程式的名額值
關于運作中的應用程式,有很多有趣而且有用的資訊。舉個例子,了解應用程式的記憶體情況 (可用或空閑)有助于決定給JVM配置設定多少記憶體。對Web應用程式而言,不用檢視Web伺服器日志,如果請求失敗或者是耗時太長,就可以大概知道記憶體的情況了。運作中的應用程式有諸多計數器和度量器,/metrics 接口提供了這些東西的快照。

請注意,這裡的一些路徑成本,比如資料源和Tomcat會話,僅在應用程式中運作特定元件時才有資料。你還可以注冊自己的度量資訊。
HTTP的計數器和路徑成本需要做一點說明。counter.status 後的值是HTTP狀态碼,随後是所請求的路徑。舉個例子,counter.status.200.metrics 表明/metrics端點傳回 200(OK) 狀态碼的次數。
HTTP的度量資訊在結構上也差不多,卻在報告另一類資訊。它們全部以gauge.response 開頭,,表明這是HTTP響應的度量資訊。字首後是對應的路徑。路徑成本是以毫秒為機關的時間,反映了最近處理該路徑請求的耗時。
這裡還有幾個特殊的值需要注意。root路徑指向的是根路徑或/。star-star代表了那些Spring 認為是靜态資源的路徑,包括圖檔、JavaScript和樣式表,其中還包含了那些找不到的資源。這就是為什麼你經常會看到 counter.status.404.star-star,這是傳回了HTTP 404 (NOT FOUND) 狀态的請求數。
/metrics 接口會傳回所有的可用路徑成本,但你也可能隻對某個值感興趣。要擷取單個值,請求時可以在URL後加上對應的鍵名。例如,要檢視空閑記憶體大小,可以向/metrics/mem.free發一 個GET請求。
2.2 追蹤 Web 請求
/trace 接口能報告所有Web請求的詳細資訊,包括請求方法、路徑、時間戳以及請求和響應的頭資訊。

2.3 導出線程活動
在确認應用程式運作情況時,除了跟蹤請求,了解線程活動也會很有幫助。/dump 接口會生成目前線程活動的快照。
2.4 監控應用程式健康狀況
如果你想知道自己的應用程式是否在運作,可以直接通路/health 接口。在最簡單的情況下,該端點會顯示一個簡單的JSON,内容如下:

二、定制 Actuator
雖然Actuator提供了很多運作中Spring Boot應用程式的内部工作細節,但難免和你的需求有所偏差。也許你并不需要它提供的所有功能,想要關閉一些也說不定。或者,你需要對Actuator 稍作擴充,增加一些自定義的度量資訊,以滿足你對應用程式的需求。
1. 修改接口 ID
每個Actuator 接口都有一個ID用來決定接口的路徑,比方說,/beans接口的預設ID就是beans。比如要修改 /beans 為 /instances,則設定如下:

2. 啟用和禁用接口
雖然Actuator的接口都很有用,但你不一定需要全部這些接口。預設情況下,所有接口(除 了/shutdown)都啟用。比如要禁用 /metrics 接口,則可以設定如下:

3. 添加自定義度量資訊
Actuator 自動配置有兩個執行個體 CounterService 和 GaugeService 可以用來計數使用,我們所要做的就是把它們的執行個體注入所需的 bean 然後調用相應的方法。除此之外,我們還可以實作 PublicMetrics 接口,提供自己需要的度量資訊。
4. 建立自定義跟蹤倉庫
預設情況下,/trace 接口報告的跟蹤資訊都存儲在記憶體倉庫裡,100個條目封頂。一旦倉庫滿了,就開始移除老的條目,給新的條目騰出空間。在開發階段這沒什麼問題,但在生産環境中,大流量會造成跟蹤資訊還沒來得及看就被丢棄。我們可以将那些跟蹤條目存儲在其他地方——既不消耗記憶體,又能長久儲存的地方。隻需實作Spring Boot的TraceRepository接口即可。
5. 插入自定義的健康訓示器
實作 HealthIndicator 接口則可以實作自定義的健康訓示器。
6. 保護 Actuator 接口
很多Actuator端點釋出的資訊都可能涉及敏感資料,還有一些端點,(比如/shutdown)非常危險,可以用來關閉應用程式。是以,保護這些端點尤為重要,能通路它們的隻能是那些經過授權的用戶端。
