unexpected /ˌʌnɪkˈspektɪd/ adj.
monk /mʌŋk/ n. 僧人
mundane /mʌnˈdeɪn/ adj.
The announcement was not entirely unexpected.
Why he chose to become a monk remained unknown, but the media has found some clues.
The mundane things suddenly seemed special.
①Sarah's loaded. Let her pay.
②Anna is very comfortably off.
重在強調having enough money to buy what you want without worrying too much about the cost ,即:有足夠的錢去買你想要的東西,而不用太擔心價格。
③Emma is a well-heeled businesswoman.
The shop attracted a loyal following among the well-heeled.
④Sarah's rolling in it. She doesn't need to earn money.
⑤The best seats were reserved for the fat cats.
