According to the official news of the Swedish Football Association, Johansson, the founder of the Champions League and former president of UEFA, recently died of illness at the age of 89.

In an announcement published on its official website, the Swedish Football Association said: "Swedish football has ushered in a sad moment, and Johansson has unfortunately passed away. Johansson, 89, died of illness on the evening of June 4. Subsequently, UEFA also confirmed the news.

Johansson was President of the Swedish Football Federation from 1984 to 1991. In 1990, he was elected as the fifth president of UEFA. In 1992, Johansson founded the world's most prestigious club event, the Champions League.
