Boxing legend George Foreman called Mike Tyson a "monster" and revealed why he didn't want to go into the ring with his opponents. When the two-time heavyweight boxer returned in 1987, he was thought to be fighting Tyson, the most destructive man on the planet. But Foreman, now 71, admits he doesn't want to have anything to do with Tyson, 53, during his career.
Foreman said to Espn: "That guy is a nightmare in the boxing ring. I don't want to have anything to do with that guy. I didn't want to meet Mike Tyson. He's a monster. If his left hand misses you and his right hand misses you again, he will bite you. He's the kind of guy you see in nightmares. You want to wake up and say, 'I'm so glad this is a dream.' I don't want any part of Mike Tyson to intersect — impossible. ”
Foreman reveals that the feelings are mutual, and he admits that Tyson doesn't like to confront him either. He added: "He was also scared of me and I was happy. Foreman, 71, said in an interview: "On several occasions, serious negotiations have taken place with Mike Tyson's boxing match. Mike Tyson just didn't want to fight with me. It's not that he can't beat me. I mean, this guy is very good at punching. In Tyson's case, the bigger his opponent got, the heavier he fell. ”
Tyson became the youngest heavyweight world champion at the age of 20 in 1986, when he bid £9,000 for a zookeeper to wrestle with a silver-backed gorilla. Tyson believes he has never met a player in his career who can really withstand his heavy punches, and the only opponent who can resist him is the unknown heavyweight Jose Ribalta.
