On the morning of January 14, the farewell ceremony for the remains of Comrade Wang Minsheng, an outstanding member of the Communist Party of China, former deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress, former secretary of the Cpc Suzhou Municipal Cpc Committee, and former director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, was held in Suzhou. Comrade Wang Minsheng died in Suzhou on January 12, 2021 at the age of 87 due to ineffective medical treatment. Comrade Wang Minsheng, a native of Xishan, Jiangsu Province, was born in August 1934, joined the Communist Party of China in September 1952, and after joining the work in January 1951, he served as a financial and grain officer in Liucang Township, Xizhang District, Wuxi County. In 1959, he was appointed as the chief of the personnel section of the Wuxi County People's Committee. In 1960, he became the leader of the task force of Wuxi Lotang Commune and the secretary of the Party Committee of Yangshi Commune. In 1964, he was appointed deputy secretary of the Wuxi County CPC Committee. In 1968, he was appointed deputy secretary of the Wuxi County Party Committee and deputy director of the County Revolutionary Committee. In 1973, he was appointed secretary of the Wuxi County Party Committee and director of the County Revolutionary Committee. In 1975, he was appointed Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Provincial Revolutionary Committee. In 1978, he became the secretary of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League. In 1979, he was appointed secretary of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, deputy secretary of the Zhenjiang Prefectural Committee, and commissioner of the Zhenjiang Bureau. In 1983, he was appointed deputy secretary of the Zhenjiang Municipal Party Committee. In 1984, he was appointed deputy director of the Jiangsu Provincial Planning and Economic Planning Commission, director of the Provincial Township Enterprise Administration Bureau, and secretary of the party leading group. In 1989, he became the secretary of the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee. In 1993, he was appointed Secretary of the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee, Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress. After 1994, he served as vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Suzhou Municipal People's Congress. He retired in August 2004. In his revolutionary career of more than 70 years, Comrade Wang Minsheng has always been loyal to the party's cause and has maintained a high degree of unity with the party Central Committee politically, ideologically, and in action. During his tenure as deputy secretary and secretary of the Wuxi County CPC Committee, he vigorously carried out farmland water conservancy infrastructure construction, vigorously grasped the high yield and stable production of agriculture, and the project of "drainage and irrigation channels under gray land" won the National Science Conference Award.
