The Baixiang Wei clan, the ancient Wang clan, spanned nearly three hundred years between the Ming and Qing dynasties. Baixiang Wei clan famous scholars, Gongsheng, lifting nearly a hundred people, only thirteen jinshi people. Among the thirteen were three generations of "one door and three jinshi" of Wei Yine, Wei Xun, and Wei Shitai's ancestors, and there were also the rare Wei Tingzuo, Wei Ao, and Wei Zhaogao's "one door, one branch, three jinshi" (1783 Qianlong Deca branch). There are many famous authors of the Baixiang Wei clan, and there are 25 people who have entered the annals of history, 104 works, and 332 volumes. Wei was also named one of the 100 figures who influenced the course of Chinese history.

Why is the Baixiang Wei family thriving and able to flourish for a long time? To answer this question, we must start from 2016, when Mr. Wei Guojing, the 12th generation grandson and writer of Wei Yijie, found four volumes of the "Family Records of Wei" compiled by Wei Xun, the eldest son of Wei Yijie, in his native Wei Chunsheng. This heirloom may partially answer this question. In 2017, Wang Yunguo sorted out the first draft based on a photocopy of the four volumes of the "Biography of Wei" provided by Wei Guojing. This year, Mr. Wang Pusheng of Longhua Village, a scholar of literature and history who lives in Beijing, checked and proofread the first draft, and wrote an article entitled "The Heart and Experience of the "Wei Family Heirloom" of the Point School". Today, I will share Mr. Wang Pusheng's article with the four volumes of the "Biography of the Wei Family" and with you.

The Records of the Family of Wei is a transcript of Wei Yijie's court teachings to his sons and nephews, edited by his eldest son Wei Xun (魏勷), and prefaced by Wei Xiangshu (魏象蜀) of Wei Gong's jinshi Wei Prefecture (蔚州, in modern Wei County, Hebei) in the same year. He believes that the "Heirloom of the Wei Family" is "true and the Yan family law is in the same heart for thousands of years". Everyone knows the status of the Yan Family Training in Chinese history, and the Wei Gong of Wei prefecture has an evaluation of Baixiang's "Wei Family Chronicle" almost equal to that of the Yan family, and its surviving value can be seen here.

2016 marks the 400th anniversary of Mr. Wei Yijie's birth, and Baixiang County held a grand commemorative event with a wide range of contents. Subsequently, an academic seminar was held, and the participants expounded the deeds of Wei Gong's life from various aspects, so that today's society has an all-round understanding of Wei Gong, and also promotes the further excavation of history and culture in Baixiang, and injects the genes of traditional culture into the new period of socialism. Within the scope of Baixiang County and even Xingtai City, a whirlwind of research on Wei ethnic groups was set off for a while, and even other family members of the Wei family were involved.

After the academic seminar to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Wei Yijie's birth, he edited and published the "Proceedings of the Academic Symposium", and I was also invited to write a "Life and Death of the Nation to Profit" to show my heart. During this time, Mr. Wang Yunguo transmitted part of the original text printed according to the photocopy of the "Biography of the Wei Family", which I read for, and took one of them to write a calligraphy work. This was my first contact with the "Family Records of the Wei Family", but I was deeply impressed by Wei Gong's spirit of focusing on words and deeds and his sincere teachings to his sons and nephews. I was also amazed by Wei's door to poetry and books, and the profound heritage of family learning!

For two years, because the new crown pneumonia epidemic has not been lifted, there is nothing to do at home. Suddenly, I remembered that reading the sentences for the "Biography of the Wei Family" was an unfinished project, and I should take this opportunity to continue. So he asked Mr. Yunguo for the remaining part and reorganized the sentences. Mr. Yun Guo distinguishes between red characters in the questioning places, which makes me focus on it, but I cannot correctly identify and understand it without the original reference. I repeated the request to Mr. Wei Guojing, and soon the photocopy of the original was telegraphed, so that the original could be used as a reference for proofreading, so that the work could be carried out smoothly.

On the basis of Mr. Yunguo's printed draft, there are original references, and some key words and phrases are repeatedly identified and deliberated, and the doubts can be clarified and the fallacies can be corrected. In this way, again and again, the manuscript gradually became clear and perfected. Then read it in sentences to make the text smooth and as close as possible to the original meaning. Some difficult words and phrases are annotated by consulting other sources for corroboration. For example, if the word "Yi Fan" in the "Moon View Of Mr. Yi Fan" is not annotated, I am afraid that it is difficult for anyone to know that this is Jin Zhijun's word. My principle is to strive for perfection for the convenience of future readers.

Throughout the process, not only the inner school, but also the outer school. For example, the original text reads: "Confucius is also a great sage, and the old man is still a precept: the arrogance and obscenity of the son, the attitude and desire." And the Chronicle of History. However, the record in the Biography of Lao Tzu is: the arrogance and lust of the son, the attitude and the lustfulness. This may be a mistake in the editing or plate making process, and it should be corrected now. Some people may think that this will not be disrespectful to the predecessors, and secretly think that this is just a manifestation of the rigor of learning, and there is no need to make a fuss.

I have repeatedly recited the whole text, and I have also experienced what the ancients said, "Read a book a hundred times, and its meaning is self-evident", which is true. Every time will not be read in vain, read once there is a harvest, after the point of proofreading the "Wei Family Record" should be born from time to time. This is also a good learning process, and it has become a rare opportunity for me to deeply explore the deep inner world of Wei Gong Confucianism. Looking at the whole volume, I thought that Duke Wei gave instructions to his sons and nephews from five aspects, which can be described as a good seducer.

The first is the reading aspect. For the education of his sons and nephews, he believes that "in life, the five luns are important, and everyone who reads poor reason, that is, poor this reason; reading the Great Treasure is better than reading a Gong Gua Ye, and if you want to learn the sages, you will enter from here", which shows the position of the I Ching in his mind. And the arrangement is very specific, "As for reading, we must strictly establish a curriculum, such as the Four Books of Filial Piety, why can we not read it for a day?" Er is at home in the leisure of history, it is advisable to pay attention to peace, the children of the family can not poetry in the same village." At the same time, he also warned his sons and nephews, "It is said that there is wisdom in the world, and it is not to be taught and repented. It is said that there are foolishnesses in the world, and the teachings will not succeed, and this will not be the case. If you can't teach it, you can't teach it, but if you teach it, you will succeed in it", which is a typical example of what you have learned and learned.

The second is the writing pool. From the following fragments, we can see wei Gong's cultivation of calligraphy for his sons and nephews, "Er has a legal degree in writing, but learning From Li Jiu is not inevitable, you can learn the thirteen lines and the MiYuan Zhang Chu Suiliang Lamentation Book; the characters take the king in ancient times, take Dong in the present, and learn Zhao Jixian Rarely have undelivered customs, this must not be known", these insights can not be described as deep. Finally, he said, "In the future, Li Beihai and Zhao Ziang do not have to look at it, and it is advisable to stop at Minang Palace and Dong Sibai'er." With such guidance, how can the calligraphy practice of the children's generations have no direction! From this, it can also be seen that Zhao Ti has never been valued by scholars.

The third is to make friends. "The people who look closely at the city are all ma bian and the like, and the young children are rarely fooled by them, and in the future it is advisable to go away from them, preferring to take corruption and Confucianism rather than harm; when people do it closely, most of them are not in line with etiquette, and they communicate with each other later, and they should be careful not to be deceived by the shafts." Admonish children and nephews that they must be cautious in making friends, otherwise there will be endless troubles. Near Zhu is red, near ink is black. Second, even the corrupt Confucians are better than ma Bian and the like!

The fourth is self-cultivation. "The learning of the sages is only the word caution. If they do not know how to be cautious, they will become unscrupulous villains; as the door of the house grows, the ignorant children will have the intention of frivolity. However, the light fur is fat, the wine is big and the meat, and it is accustomed to arrogance, but it is harmful to the happiness of oneself. The light is to die for several years, and the heavy is to perish, the widow is at night, the young girl cries at night; the key to cultivating virtue with caution, the need to eat and drink, and the widow's desire is the first. Therefore, it is said that it is nourished, and nothing is long. Nothing is lost, nothing is gone. Between the ages, the heavenly people want to be divided." Cultivate virtue and cultivate the body, and you must not forget!

Fifth, be diligent and thrifty and abstain from luxury. "There are servants who come out of the car, and now they do not think of being diligent and thrifty, but they are also full of unscrupulous people, thinking that they are harming the township, and the people of the other township have grievances and stealers, will not insult their ancestors and make fun of the sages; drinking alcohol will cause phlegm, and over time they will become sick; Er will abstain from now on, and whoever drinks and guests will stop after ten small cups; in the future, he will not be ashamed of himself, and he must know that there will be no heroic backbone between the warm beds of fine wine and fat, and he must wash the greasy reeds with pure ash, and only then will there be a place to come out." Judging from the attitude toward frugality and luxury, people's consciousness is high and judgmental.

The "Heirloom of the Wei Family" is worth learning from and inheriting in many ways. As mentioned above, in education, self-cultivation, making friends, thriftiness, abstinence from luxury, etc., even today it still has its practical significance! Therefore, it is not only a family training and tutor left by Wei Gong to his descendants, but also a traditional cultural heritage left by history to Baixiang, how can we love it at all costs, and constantly practice and carry it forward, benefit the present, and pass it on to the future! In my life, I am not proud of being an official, but those who are confident are quite glimpsed in the study of Kong Mengzhi. Whoever spies on it, sexual goodness is also, easy to simplify and the world's reason is complete. The successor is good, and the one who becomes good is the one who directly instructs the person and the person who comes after him to misunderstand. Therefore, the things must be known, so that Mingde is under the heavens, and the quantity of Matilda begins to be complete.

The saint has only one benevolent word in his life, and the benevolent person has a heart and is reasonable. To understand this is wisdom, to conform to this is to be righteous, to order this is to be polite, and to keep this is to believe. If the heart is not kind, the rest of the decoration is useless. The present man acts upside down and wants to paint, and man is not easily deceived. To deny oneself and selfishness, there is also a return to heavenly reason, non-self-denial is also a restoration. What is Heavenly Truth? Benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and faith are also. Of these five, the word benevolence can be deserved, and the word lily can also be, and if there is no such heavenly reason, it is the study of heretical silence. The word righteousness is a public-private debate, and has nothing to do with words such as adaptation and change, and the so-called character is also due to the heart. The difference is a millimeter, the fallacy is a thousand miles, and yu Yu knows it. The truth of knowing is the extreme, if Yang Zhen knows four things, it is the meaning of the metaphor.

When it is summer, the climate is clear, and the human heart can often do so, then the saints are dead. Former state monks can be destroyed, and heresy is harmful to the Holy Path. Er's father respected Kong Meng, and it was not appropriate to borrow it for him. In the past, the Han Dynasty Wengong and the Great Turmoil exchanged, and they caused a lot of ridicule, my thousand cities famous religion, the knowledge of the unified record, is it under the Wengong! Old Mr. Yan, who has a long history of retreating from the temple, has a very high opinion of the goodness of ancient and modern times, the principles of the three religions, and has everything to see. Respect Zhu but not land, revere Confucianism and know Buddha. (? In the study of scriptures and the knowledge, the time affairs do not send all the bodies, it is advisable to have a lingzi also.
