RT mentioned that this shocking news was exposed by the US news site BuzzFeed, which obtained hundreds of internal reports from the CIA through the Freedom of Information Act, with documents ranging from 2004 to 2019, and BuzzFeed News Network spent nearly a decade to obtain these documents.

According to the documents, one of the 10 CIA employees "had inappropriate sexual intercourse with an unidentified 2-year-old girl" and also admitted to having sexual contact with another 6-year-old girl "on two different occasions", who was subsequently fired by the CIA but never prosecuted;

The only CIA employee indicted for sexual offences against children is also under investigation for handling confidential material inappropriately, according to BuzzFeed News.

An unnamed former official told BuzzFeed News that the CIA prefers to deal with the incidents in-house because employees accused of crimes "may be inadvertently forced to disclose sources and methods."

This is not the first time there have been documents showing sexual offences against children within the CIA, and the CIA is reluctant to let outside involvement. In 2015, Vice News also obtained documents through the Freedom of Information Act showing that the CIA knew its employees were suspected of child abuse and child pornography crimes, RT said.
