In addition to Simmons, Lillard had been interested in playing with Jaylen & Aaron Gordon

According to The Athletic Shams recently reported that several sources revealed that Lillard expressed his desire to play with Ben Simmons. And Lillard is "increasingly frustrated" by Portland's performance, with tensions between players and head coach Billups appearing to be rising.

According to open-air stand reporter Jake Fischer, multiple sources revealed that Simmons is one of several wingers that Lillard has expressed interest in playing with since the 2020 offseason, along with Jaylen Brown and Aaron Gordon. Orchy, former general manager of the Blazers & president of basketball operations, did discuss Gordon's transfer with the Magic, but the deal was never reached. Instead, the Blazers traded two first rounds and Ariza for Covington.

Several sources revealed that the deal negotiations between the preseason Blazers and the 76ers never went beyond the early framework discussions. Olhi believes the Trail Blazers have enough to compete in the West and have no interest in parting ways with McCollum, who was hand-picked in the No. 10 pick in the 2013 draft.
