The class action lawsuit against Cyberpunk 2077 enters the settlement phase

author:Game Time VGtime

Cyberpunk 2077 has been a problematic launch, with A U.S. law firm announcing a class-action lawsuit against CD Projekt late last year, accusing its executives of misrepresenting cyberpunk 2077's performance on Xbox One and PS4 platforms and misleading investors. According to the announcement on CD Projekt's official website, the class action lawsuit has now entered the settlement negotiation stage.

Court documents show that there are still a number of outstanding issues to be put in place for the two sides to reach a settlement, including documents agreeing to a settlement collectively, a distribution plan for settlement compensation, and a settlement method. Simply put, who is eligible for compensation and how much compensation will be received has yet to be finalized.

According to officials, a total of 4 class actions against Cyberpunk 2077 have been filed in the United States. The four lawsuits merged in May of this year and appointed a lead plaintiff. In a public announcement made public on Wednesday, officials revealed that the court had "suspended the procedure for dismissing the motion because the parties had negotiated a potential solution".

The court documents also state that "negotiations on a possible settlement should in no way be construed as the Company or members of its management committee accepting any allegations made in the plaintiffs' court documents".
