On December 10, local time, many places in the central United States suffered from tornadoes and bad weather, or dozens of deaths.

The Associated Press and Reuters reported on Dec. 11 that tornadoes and severe weather hit Kentucky, Illinois, Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee in the central United States. The New York Times reported that from the evening of the 10th to the early morning of the 11th local time, at least more than 30 tornadoes occurred in the above areas.

Kentucky Governor Bethel said on the 11th that when the tornado struck, 50 people in the state may have died, and the death toll may rise to 70 to 100. Behill declared a state of emergency in the state.

In Illinois, the roof of an Amazon company's warehouse partially collapsed, killing at least one person. One person died and 20 people were trapped in a nursing home in Arkansas.

Search and rescue operations are reportedly continuing in some places, and the exact number of casualties is unclear. According to the data summarized by the website of the PowerOutage.us quoted by the New York Times, as of the morning of the 11th local time, more than 250,000 households in the above-mentioned disaster areas had lost power.
