At 08:00 CET time on December 15, FIFA announced on its official website the relevant data of the 2021 World Football Agent Commission.
The data shows that the total number of global broker commissions in 2021 reached $500.8 million. European clubs accounted for 95.8% of brokerage commission expenditures of US$500 million, while clubs in the UK (US$133.3 million), Germany (US$84.3 million), Italy (US$73.5 million), Spain (US$34.8 million), France (US$30.3 million) and Portugal (US$29.3 million) alone accounted for 77.0% of the total global broker commissions.
While the total transfer fee between clubs has shrunk for the second consecutive year (13.9% in 2021 and 23.4% in 2020), the total number of broker commissions is still rising slightly, a slight increase of 0.7% compared to the level of 2020.
According to another FIFA earlier study, the total number of global soccer agent commissions over the past 10 years has reached a staggering $3.5 billion.
