After the July 7 Incident, Shu Yuexin and his wife were transferred from Nanjing, and Yao Zijian also retreated to Wuchang with the General Survey Bureau. Yao Zijian then took a long leave of absence from the Kuomintang and has since separated from the Kuomintang troops.
After working in Hong Kong for 4 months, under the arrangement of the organization, Yao Zijian went to Yan'an, ending his life on the hidden front. Later, Yao Zijian entered the Kang Da study. In 1939, Yao Zijian went to work in the Suyuwan base area, and later traveled to various places according to the needs of the party.
