According to the latest report of the National Health Commission, at 0-24:00 on January 5, 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 189 new confirmed cases. Among them, there were 57 imported cases (20 cases in Shanghai, 10 cases in Guangdong, 7 cases in Zhejiang, 6 cases in Fujian, 4 cases in Tianjin, 2 cases in Guangxi, 2 cases in Sichuan, 2 cases in Yunnan, 1 case in Jilin, 1 case in Jiangsu, 1 case in Shandong, 1 case in Henan), including 6 cases from asymptomatic infected people to confirmed cases (3 cases in Zhejiang, 2 cases in Sichuan, and 1 case in Henan); 132 cases in local cases (64 cases in Henan, including 50 cases in Xuchang City, 5 cases in Zhengzhou City, 4 cases in Luoyang City, 3 cases in Zhoukou City, 1 case in Shangqiu City, and 1 case in Gushi County). There were 63 cases in Shaanxi, all in Xi'an City, and 5 cases in Zhejiang, all in Ningbo City), including 30 cases converted from asymptomatic infected people to confirmed cases (all in Henan). There were no new deaths. There were 2 new suspected cases, all of which were imported from abroad (both in Shanghai).
31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 45 new cases of asymptomatic infection, including 35 cases imported from abroad and 10 cases from the mainland (9 cases in Henan, including 8 cases in Zhengzhou City and 1 case in Gushi County; 1 case in Zhejiang, in Jinhua City); 36 cases were converted to confirmed cases on the same day (6 cases imported from abroad); 12 cases were released from medical observation (11 cases imported from abroad); and 629 cases of asymptomatic infected people who were still under medical observation (583 cases imported from abroad) were released.
