Hesai Technology said that AT128 has obtained more than millions of OEMs around the world's front-loading mass production points, including ideal, set, Gaohe, Lotus, and will be fully mass-produced in the second half of this year in the planned capacity of one million units of Hesai "Maxwell" super factory. This year, a number of new models equipped with Hesai AT128 will be officially launched for the market.

IT Home learned that Hesai's latest release of a new generation of vehicle-grade 128-line ultra-wide-angle close-range lidar QT128 is a blindness patch radar for autonomous driving applications such as L4-level robotaxi and robotruck, with a 105° ultra-wide vertical field of view, which can clearly identify people and objects in close proximity around the body. The QT128 will be delivered in volume production in the first quarter of 2023.

According to reports, QT128 has the following highlights:

105 degrees vertical field of view. Through tilt installation, it can completely cover the blind area of the body, conical barrels, small animals and other low obstacles, and can also detect high places such as three-dimensional garages and high-rise buildings.

The QT128 has 128 vertical lines, twice as many as the previous-generation architecture. Through the line-count distribution design, the minimum horizontal and vertical resolution of the QT128 encryption area is 0.4 degrees, which has almost reached the resolution level of the long-distance main radar, and even dynamic movements as small as ping-pong balls can be captured by the QT128.

High-quality reflectivity information. The QT128 adds effective reflectance information to the previous generation architecture, ensures high accuracy, and improves the ability to identify and classify lane lines, signs, and other objects.

Vehicle-grade reliability. The QT128 follows the automotive product development process from design to validation, and reliability testing is performed according to top OEM standards for higher reliability and longer service life.
