The E3 2022 Game Show will once again be held in online virtual form

In a statement on Thursday, the organization announced that this year's E3 game show will once again be held in online virtual form. The reason for this is that due to concerns about the continued health risks of COVID-19 and the personal safety of exhibitors and attendees, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has to cut off the offline interaction of E3 2022 again. For fans who are looking forward to being there, this also means that their wishes have been disappointed for the third consecutive year.

Even so, the ESA said it was excited about the future of E3 and looked forward to revealing more details soon. It is reported that the E3 game show is usually held in early June, but the organizers have not yet finalized the exact date of the next event.

By convention, E3 2022 should also feature pre-recorded programming from developers and publishers during live streaming, introducing their upcoming games in the form of videos.

For example, during last year's E2 2021 online event, we saw the debut of Metroid Dread, as well as new footage from the upcoming "Elden Ring" and "Zelda Legend: Breath of the Wild 2."

In addition to the E3 Game Show, the Sundance Film Festival and the Grammy Awards Ceremony, two industry events, have also been affected by the rapid spread of the new crown Olmikron mutation in the United States. On Monday, after the holiday, the United States has reported more than a million new cases.
