Song MAX DM-i will be equipped with a 1.5L Atkinson cycle engine with a maximum thermal efficiency of 43%. The engine has a maximum power of 81 kW (110 Ps), a peak torque of 135 N·m, and a peak power of 145 kW for permanent magnet synchronous motors.
The acceleration time of the vehicle from 0 to 100km/h is 7.9 seconds, the fuel consumption level is 4.4L/100km, and the comprehensive cruising range is 1090km when full of fuel and electricity. In addition, the 105km version also supports fast charging, and it takes only 30 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%.
In terms of design, the overall design style of Song MAX DM-i is similar to that of Song MAX DM. It follows the BYD family-style Dragon Face design style. The difference between the front face is that the chrome trim strip connecting the "Song" car logo is flatter and the overall feeling is stronger.
