This time, Geely's "Natural Love - Our Love 100°C" ended its trip to the beautiful Changbai Mountain, and we were also fortunate to be invited to feel different at -20°C with Geely Boyue X.
Model introduction
Boyue X is the latest model of Boyue launched by Geely at the 2021 Chengdu Auto Show, with an official guidance price of 11.28-14.28 million yuan. Its cumulative orders since its launch have exceeded 30,000 units, and in December, it achieved a good result of monthly sales of more than 10,000 units. The new car has a relatively large change in the appearance of the shape, especially the shape of the front of the car, which is much younger and more fashionable than the Boyue currently on sale.

The interior central control screen is equipped with the Geely Galaxy OS system, which is embedded with an 8-core CPU and an E02 chip with 6/64G memory, and there will be no crash and card machine at -40 °C. The car machine system has an intelligent AI voice system, and the recognition rate and reaction speed are relatively good. In addition, the application of the App is also rich and comprehensive. The vehicle also has the function of the bluetooth key of the mobile phone, which can be unlocked and started by the mobile phone without the key.
The boyue X top model equipped with a front-row automatic dual-zone air conditioner is equipped with a manufacturer, and according to the manufacturer, the temperature inside the car can be heated to 30 °C in only 10 minutes when the temperature outside the car is -21 °C. Dynamic driving in the snow
Before driving dynamically, let's first look at the powertrain of the Boyue X. The Boyue X is equipped with a 1.8T engine with a maximum power of 135 kW and a maximum torque of 300 N·m, which is the same as the Data of the Boyue 1.8T DCT model. The engine was mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, and the chassis was front McPherson, rear multi-link structure.
The Boyue X has a total of 3 driving modes to choose from, namely Economy, Comfort and Sport. Due to snow driving, our driving controls are usually in Comfort mode. The economic model can also be switched on snowy days due to the soft power output at the beginning. The sport mode is more suitable for some experienced drivers of snow driving due to the more direct power output.
Due to the low adhesion of the ground, the wheels will be less easily detected at each start, and the starting process of the vehicle will be correspondingly slower than on paved roads, which is also equipped with snow tires. Snow tires have a formula specially developed for winter driving, and the pattern grooves are more delicate and dense, and their grip in snow is not the same as that of summer tires.
Similarly, due to the lower adhesion of the snow, the steering force of the Boyue X becomes slightly lighter. However, the difference between dark ice on the ground and floating snow can be perceived by the sense of the road on the steering wheel, which makes people feel quite solid to drive. The chassis is comfortably tuned to filter out most of the bumps without feeling nihilistic.
Compared with paved roads, the probability of braking on the snow pedaling out of ABS is much higher, but this is also the basis for ensuring the braking efficiency and steering ability of the vehicle. At the same time, the TCS function can also provide effective help for the power control of the vehicle when starting. The Boyue X test drive is also equipped with a steep slope slow descent function, which can go downhill at a uniform speed of 4km/h when facing the downhill section.
Boyue X's HUD head-up display has a snow-specific mode, equipped with a 260,000-color full-color display, which can be displayed in blue on snow-covered roads, keeping the driver free from snow. At the same time, the L2+ level intelligent driver assistance system also provides more safety for driving on ice and snow roads.
