Jurassic World: Evolution 2 has sold nearly a million copies

Frontier Developments has released its latest interim results and transaction updates, confirming that Jurassic World: Evolution 2 has sold nearly 1 million copies since its release in November 2021. Also this is only for the base game, excluding DLC. Sales of the PC version were initially lower than expected, but word-of-mouth and praise seemed to have played a big role.

Elite: Danger has been described as "getting through a tough 2021", primarily the launch of the "disappointing" Odyssey DLC. Frontier said it will continue to "support the game and the enthusiastic players by developing updates, and we've also seen an upturn in player sentiment." Its third-party publishing company, Frontier Foundry, will also launch 4 games in 2022, including Far Away: Changing Tides and Warhammer 40K: Gates of Chaos – Demon Hunter.

In addition, Frontier plans to start entering the F1 field through the "F1 Management Game IP for the Year". The company also hopes that the release of Jurassic World 3: Domination will bring "commensurate revenue" to Jurassic World: Evolution 2.

Unfortunately, those waiting for the company to launch the real-time strategy game Warhammer Sigma Times will have to wait longer. The work was postponed to fiscal year 2024, which began in April 2023. "This postponement will further improve the quality and longevity of the game and make it more successful."

Jurassic World: Evolution 2 is currently available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
