Me and China Electric Power News

Baiju passed through the gap, and suddenly "China Electric Power News" has been 40 years old. Like a baby waiting to be fed, it is now a flourishing prime. Recalling my past love affair with China Electric Power News, I still remember it vividly, just like the water of the Yangtze River.

At the beginning of 1982, with the rise of the wave of reform and opening up, the "China Electric Power News" came into being. At that time, in order to open the door to run the newspaper, the editorial department of the newspaper solicited suggestions for running the newspaper. When I was the secretary of the factory office of the Meixi Power Plant in Zhejiang Province, after seeing this information, I wrote three suggestions: First, establish a team of correspondents to provide news clues or manuscripts from grass-roots factories to newspapers in a timely manner; second, strengthen training through various channels to improve the writing level of correspondents; third, add literary supplements to enliven the amateur cultural life of enterprise employees. Unexpectedly, not long after this proposal was sent to the newspaper, China Electric Power News was published in the position below the first page of a certain issue, and I still remember the page, the text was arranged vertically from right to left. At that time, it was an eight-open four-page newspaper. Later, the provincial bureaus recommended the correspondent, and I was recommended by the party committee of the unit to report, and I became one of the first correspondents of China Electric Power News.

So I began to write for China Electric Power News, which lasted until I retired at the end of 2007 after I was transferred to the Huzhou Power Supply Bureau in 1990. "China Electric Power News" has become an inseparable good partner in my work, and I have also become good friends with many reporters and editors. For more than 30 years, I have written and distributed hundreds of news, newsletters, speeches, and literary manuscripts, and I have participated in various essay contests and won many awards; I have done a lot of useful work for the communication of newspapers.

"China Electric Power News" is my good teacher and friend to improve my writing level, I learned from writing press releases, and now I have become a member of the China Electric Power Writers Association, starting from publishing prose works in "China Electric Power News", to now publishing articles in "China Energy News", "China Electric Power Enterprise Management", "Jiefang Daily", "Xinmin Evening News" and other newspapers and periodicals, "China Electric Power News" is my enlightenment teacher.

So far, I have been retired for many years, but I still care about the major events of our power industry, still participate in the research work of the Energy and Environmental Protection Committee of the Huzhou Old Science and Technology Association, still often read and pay attention to China Electric Power News, and sometimes write articles on electric power topics for newspapers and periodicals at all levels. When I learned that China Electric Power News was writing for my 40th birthday celebration, I couldn't contain my excitement and wrote this text in one breath.

Perhaps, this is just a little feeling from the heart of an old electric power worker, small and weak; but I sincerely wish that "China Electric Power News" will make a great development of China's electric power industry in the future journey and contribute to the realization of the second centenary goal. This heartfelt blessing and expectation is sincere.
