Starting from the landmark "Kowloon Ladder", along the 13 river trails down the steps, the public can see the 199-meter Yangtze River map, and continue to go down to the river beach, zero distance to feel the scenery of the Yangtze River. Looking around, in the Jiujian Pier not far away, the naval history theme museum is not reduced in popularity, attracting a large number of citizens to visit, and the beauty of the Yangtze River is perfectly integrated with the characteristic cultural genes of the Kowloon Peninsula.

Taohuaxi is located in the urban area, with the development of urban construction, the rain and sewage pipe network on both sides of the strait is overloaded, and water pollution occurs from time to time. In this regard, Jiulongpo District invested 1.549 billion yuan to implement the three-step measures of Taohuaxi to rectify the river, clear water irrigation, and rain and sewage diversion to eradicate water pollution, add more than 88,000 square meters of greening, build 5 kilometers of greenways along the river, remove 320,000 cubic meters of black and odorous silt, and supplement and improve the drainage pipe network of about 45 kilometers. At the same time, the special rectification action of "three rows" of illegal discharge, straight discharge and random discharge of sewage in Taohuaxi was carried out, more than 30 problems such as sewage leakage and overflow caused by the misconnection and damage of the drainage pipe network were solved, and 1.4 hectares of green space along the river shoreline were upgraded and transformed.
Relying on the three-level river length and the grid sweep code river patrol platform, the Taohuaxi River Basin has completed a total of 30,000 river patrols, solved more than 700 problems, cleaned up more than 2,000 tons of garbage, and maintained and rectified more than 200 drainage facilities.

Daxi River is the "mother river" of the three towns in the western part of Jiulongpo District, as the only rural river in the whole district, its governance is different from the improvement of urban rivers.
In 2021, with the help of new urbanization and rural revitalization, Jiulongpo District will concentrate on the construction of the Daxi River Ecological Corridor, carry out environmental governance, ecological restoration, cultural construction and landscape construction throughout the basin, and create an ecological green belt with profound cultural heritage and the atmosphere of the times. At present, the Daxi River Dushan Bridge-Erlangtan Bridge Section Project has been successfully included in the Three Gorges Follow-up Project Database of the Ministry of Water Resources. At the same time, Jiulongpo District took the lead in carrying out rural retail sewage treatment in the city, took the lead in launching the rural "three reforms and one treatment", implemented the comprehensive improvement of the environment of 1,000 households and 200 courtyards, adopted the AO+ contact oxidation method, explored the establishment of a new process for sewage treatment of rural retail households, discharged new standards, and completely solved the problem of manure treatment of rural retail households.
