Laowangpo is a flood storage and detention area, which has made great contributions to ensuring the safety of the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, the 107 National Highway and the lives and property of the people in the surrounding areas and downstream. There are more than 100,000 mu of arable land here, but due to uneven heights, low-lying terrain and lack of irrigation conditions, it has become a "lookout field". How to change from "Wangtiantian" to "high-yield field" and take the road of high-quality modern agricultural development? The answer is high standard farmland construction.
The construction of high-standard farmland has a huge capital investment, and Xiping County has limited financial resources. Henan Water Conservancy Investment Group Co., Ltd. intends to explore the way of high-quality development of modern agriculture by building high-standard farmland and long-term operation and management. The two sides hit it off and jointly invested more than 300 million yuan to transform Lao Wangpo into a modern agricultural demonstration zone. Therefore, Henan Water Conservancy Investment Group Co., Ltd. established Henan Shuitou Bainong Industrial Development Co., Ltd., which is specifically responsible for this project.
Today, 31,000 mu of arable land in the core area has been leveled and transformed, and all of them have been planted with wheat. The 195 wells have also been well-built, and irrigation equipment is being fully installed. At the same time, the river surface was expanded from 20 meters wide to 40 meters wide, and rubber dams were built downstream. Through the transformation, not only can we save more water sources to meet the needs of irrigation, but also create a tourist landscape belt and develop rural tourism.
In addition, we are building a CNC center called "Agricultural Brain". Through this CNC center, the digital management of agriculture will be realized. In the future, we will also develop order agriculture, breeding wheat seeds in the summer, and cooperating with the Animal Husbandry Group in the autumn to plant green storage corn on order.
Although the epidemic is serious and the weather is cold, we have implemented three shifts, people stop and machines, day and night construction, and strive to fully complete the construction task in mid-March this year, contributing to the high-quality development of agriculture and national food security.
