Since last year, Qingxi Town, Dongguan City, has continued to promote the improvement of human settlements and the construction of pocket parks, implemented the "seam and inserted green" in the idle land and corner land in the jurisdiction, maximized the use of the city's "golden horn and silver edge" to build a pocket park, and upgraded and transformed by optimizing greening, facility renewal, cultural wall, etc., in order to achieve the effect of improving the quality of community landscape and human settlement, and continuously enhancing the sense of happiness and gain of the masses.
It is understood that the pocket park is the use of road street corners, flower arrangements, under the bridge space, urban renewal of idle land or the original green space, amusement park, etc., through the optimization of greening, the configuration of seats, garden roads, garden lights, activity facilities and other areas for construction. Pocket parks are the true portrayal of "integrating the city into the garden and letting the garden embrace the city".
In order to fully implement the concept of "park city" construction and comprehensively enhance the connotation of urban green landscape, in 2021, Qingxi Town quietly built 6 pocket parks, namely Tuqiao Party Building Theme Park, Tuqiao Ancient Banyan Tree Park, Liheng Binhe Park, Qingxi Yayuan Street Park, Samsung Lvwei Tian xingang Leisure Park, and Xiekeng Party Building Theme Park. At present, all 6 pocket parks are open to the public. In addition, on the basis of the work results of "one town, one park, one village and one scenic spot" and "Thousand Views Embroidery Dongguan", Qingxi Town plans to build 24 pocket parks during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period (2021-2025).

For example, in order to extend the red culture of Tuqiao Village, the Qingxi Town Public Utility Service Center and the Tuqiao Village Committee have built the Tuqiao Party Building Theme Park through the upgrading of the local square, the improvement of the layout of the green environment, and the addition of party building sketches, etc. Now the park has become a must-visit place for the masses to relax and exercise. Another example is Lao Wai Street, which revolves around an ancient banyan tree, and a circle of stools is centered on a large tree to form a circle, forming a unique and quiet scenery as a whole. When the leaves are abundant, people can sit under the trees to cool off, enjoy the man-made landscape, and integrate with the park. At the same time, the park also fully integrates local historical architectural elements, through the restoration of the old village tile houses in Lao Wai, the remains of the activities of the Dongjiang Column, the ancient wells, etc., so that the villagers can remember the heroic deeds of the older generation of revolutionary predecessors, and also have a good place to gossip and enhance feelings, and transform the original chaotic vacant land into a public space with cultural characteristics.
According to reports, Qingxi Town will build more pocket parks into comprehensive entertainment sports and leisure places with multiple effects, and strive to create a "within reach" of the park green space and an ecological space that can be entered by lifting feet, so as to lay out "small luck" to create a full "big happiness" and let the people really get a sense of happiness.
