United are willing to cut prices by £23m to offer Sancho to Barca, but manager Xavi is not interested

Last summer, United spent £73m to sign Sancho, 21, from Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.

But the player struggled to adapt to life here after joining Manchester United. Sancho has played 23 times for the Red Devils, but has scored just two goals. It was difficult for him to recreate the dortmund-era form at Old Trafford.

Barcelona winger Dembele's contract at Camp Nou, on the other hand, expires this summer and the player is likely to leave Barca on a free throw. The player has been linked to the squads for Liverpool, Newcastle and Manchester United.

Sancho can play on both the left and right flanks, and United believe Barcelona will likely need the player.

Spanish media reported that Manchester United were willing to offer Sancho to Barcelona at a sharp price cut.

United's psychological price for Sancho is £50m, which is close to a third of the price cut compared to when sancho was bought.

Sancho's contract at Old Trafford expires in 2026. United are willing to sell the player if he has only been playing for one season.

But the report said barcelona boss Xavi was not interested in Sancho at all.

The Barcelona legend believes it would be a risky act to spend £50 million to bring Sancho to Camp Nou.
