Arsenal have loaned Pablo Mali to Udinese for the rest of the season

Arsenal defender Pablo Mari has joined Serie A side Udinese on loan until the end of the season.

The Spanish centre-back has only made three appearances for Arsenal this season, the last of which was in the third round of the League Cup against AFC Wimbledon.

After signing the contract, Mali tweeted: "Happy and proud!

"I can't wait to embark on this new adventure and give everything I have for this black and white shirt and its fans!"

Since joining italy on loan two years ago from Flamengo in Italy, Mali have made 19 appearances and scored one goal.

Despite a serious ankle injury in the summer of 2020, Arsenal made his transfer permanent after the summer transfer window opened.

Former team-mate Sid Kolasinak also left the club this week to reach a permanent deal with Ligue 1 side Marseille until 2023.

Arsenal immediately terminated his contract to make him a free agent.

Regarding homegrown players, Arsenal will also decide the future of Tyres John-Jules and Miguel Aziz. This week, both were recalled from their respective loans in Blackpool and Portsmouth.

Mikel Arteta has also been adamant that he wants Eddie Nketiah to stay at the club.
