In 2011, "Car Records - 30 Years of Experiencing Chinese Cars" was published by Sanlian Bookstore, which became a bestseller with rigorous historical logic and fresh and smooth writing, and was printed three times in a row.

At the "Beijing International Book Fair" in August 2018, Sanlian Bookstore and Singapore World Science and Technology Publishing House discussed cooperation projects, and during the talks, foreign parties showed strong interest in the book "Car".

In September of the same year, Sanlian Bookstore granted the publishing rights of the English version of the book on paper and the e-book to the World Science and Technology Press.

At the beginning of 2019, the English version of "Cheji" was officially approved under the "China Book External Promotion Plan" project of the Central Propaganda Department, and received national translation funding.

In April 2019, Triptych Books invited translators Chris R. Lanzit and Grace Ford to begin translating the book. Both translators are certified by the Australian National Translators and Interpreting Certification Body.

In May, the author Li Anding specially revised the Chinese manuscript of the book for the English version, supplementing some of the contents and pictures, so that the content of the whole book covers the 40 years since the reform and opening up, and wrote the preface to the English version.

In October 2020, two translators submitted translations. Sanlian Bookstore invited two domestic review experts to review the manuscript of the whole book, and the translator revised the translation according to the expert review opinions.

In August 2021, the manuscript was finalized after three reviews and three proofs by the World Science and Technology Press. DECODING CHINA'S CAR INDUSTRY: 40 YEARS was published in December. The book is 375 pages. The binding design is exquisite.
