On January 28, the first session of the 15th People's Congress of Kunming City was successfully concluded, and the "Report on the Work of the Kunming Municipal People's Procuratorate" made by Li Xiaohong, chief procurator of the Kunming Municipal People's Procuratorate, was unanimously approved by 100% of the votes.
After the general meeting voted, Li Xiaohong was unanimously elected as the chief procurator of the Kunming Municipal People's Procuratorate (according to the law, this appointment must be reported to the chief procurator of the Yunnan Provincial People's Procuratorate for approval by the Standing Committee of the Yunnan Provincial People's Congress).
The meeting fully affirmed the work and achievements of the Kunming Municipal People's Procuratorate in the past five years, and agreed to the 2022 work arrangement proposed in the report, and decided to approve the report.
During the meeting, the deputies seriously deliberated the work report of the Kunming Municipal People's Procuratorate. The deputies held that the city's procuratorial organs are loyal to the duties entrusted by the Constitution and the law, fully perform the "four major procuratorial" functions of criminal, civil, administrative, and public interest litigation, and have made outstanding achievements in maintaining social stability, serving economic and social development, protecting people's livelihood, and deepening judicial reform.
In 2022, the city's procuratorial organs will adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, fully implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Party and the 19th Plenary Sessions, the 11th Provincial Party Congress, and the 12th Municipal Party Congress, loyally support the "two establishments", resolutely achieve "two safeguards", enhance the "four consciousnesses", strengthen the "four self-confidences", and fully perform the duties and missions of serving the overall situation and serving the people's judiciary with a high degree of political consciousness, rule of law consciousness, and procuratorial consciousness. Be the vanguard of the province's procuratorial work, create a procuratorial brand with the characteristics of the provincial capital, and contribute procuratorial strength to Kunming's efforts to create a new situation of ecological internationalization and modernization.
