The MGI JETvarnish 3D One is a simple, compact and affordable digital embellishment press capable of producing beautiful, tactile 3D effect prints.

The MGI JETvarnish 3D One Digital Printing Embellishment Press is a major new advancement in bringing digital special effects into the mainstream of the commercial printing, post-press and packaging industries. This new press leverages key components of 4-prize-winning JETvarnish technology – including the SmartS SmartScanner Registration System for Smart and Adaptive AIS – and provides a compact, cost-effective entry-level solution for all printers.

The JETvarnish 3D One has a small footprint, allowing printers, dressers and processors to have a complete production and prototype printing embellishment system in-house without the need for screens, molds or plates. Universal's patented varnish formulations use flat 2D dot UV highlights and engraved 3D bump special effects on a variety of substrates, ranging up to 450gsm, from offset and digital inks to laminates and waterborne coatings.

The JETvarnish 3D One gives printers the ability to generate more high-impact print communications and profitable decorative embellishments across all commercial and factory applications, including brochures, brochures, business cards, mail, book covers, sheetlet labels, small folding cartons, retail display signs and posters. Paper sizes range from 14x29.5 inches, and LED 2D/3D effects can reach 116 microns in a single pass.

MGI's JETvarnish 3D Series digital printing enhancement technology expands to provide everyone with a complete 2D/3D dotting and dimensional texture. Cost-effective price points and automatic inkjet head cleaning technology, combined with the AIS SmartScanner Smart Registry System, create a simple and convenient path to developing new digital postpress applications and a variety of new app-based revenue streams.

The new JETvarnish 3D One, combined with Konica Minolta and MGI's existing sheet and web digital effects presses, features 2D/3D UV size textures as independent dressing centers for digital, offset, gravure and flexographic printing materials. Other enhanced presses include: JETvarnish 3D Evolution (29x47), JETvarnish 3D Web (17" roll width) and JETvarnish 3D S (14x40), which also feature variable data embossing.
