On February 1, local time, the Mauritius New Year Concert, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China, and curated by the Shandong Provincial Cultural and Tourism Department and the Mauritius Chinese Cultural Center, appeared on the Mauritius National Television Station 3 sets and satellite channels, playing the ode of the Chinese and Maoese Celebrating the New Year and welcoming the arrival of the Spring Festival of the Year of the Tiger.
This concert is performed by the Chinese Orchestra of Shandong Song and Dance Theatre. The repertoire includes traditional repertoire such as "Congratulations to the New Jubilee", "Flower Good Moon", "Jasmine", etc., as well as new arrangements such as "The Moon Represents My Heart" and "Hongyan", which are well known to the people of Mauritius. Among them, the Mauritian classic "La Rivière Tanier" (Tanier River), which was tailored for this concert, was unveiled as the finale of the program, and the familiar melody was played by traditional Chinese instruments, allowing the audience to feel the unique beauty of Chinese and Maoist culture and the beauty of the cultural integration of the two countries.
