Recently, Chery officially announced that Chery's "global car" OMODA 5 was officially rolled off the production line in the second workshop of assembly in Wuhu. Officials said that OMODA 5 will be launched in many countries around the world. Previously, it was reported that the pre-price of the new car will be between 110,000 and 150,000 yuan, and it is expected to be officially listed in the second quarter of 2022.
OMODA 5 is positioned as a medium-sized SUV, using Chery's new design concept, the central network adopts a borderless design, the inverted trapezoidal middle mesh is huge in size, the interior is diamond-shaped decoration, full of personality, and the edge is also integrated with the headlights on both sides, which improves the overall visual width. The body side adopts the shape of a coupe SUV, which is full of movement. The small tail wing at the tail, as well as the double out of the exhaust, highlight its sporty sense.
In terms of interior, the new car adopts a minimalist design, and the color scheme is very young, which is more in line with the preferences of young people at present. Equipped with a double 12.3-inch large joint screen with central control and instrumentation, the physical buttons can hardly be seen in the car, which highlights the sense of science and technology in the car.
In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with a Kunpeng power 1.6TGDI engine, a maximum power of 145 kW (197 hp), and a peak torque of 290 Nm. Hybrid and pure electric versions will also be introduced.
