Jiangxi is an old revolutionary area and the hometown of the Central Red Army, and many founding fathers have worked in Jiangxi. From 1952, Yang Shangkui served as the secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee. Yang Shangkui is a native of Xingguo, Jiangxi, who has been fighting and working in Jiangxi for a long time.
During his time in the Central Soviet District, he served as the secretary of the county party committee. The main force of the Red Army's Long March was gone, and Yang Shangkui stayed in the Guangdong area of Jiangxi Province, and together with Chen Yi persisted in guerrilla warfare for three years. After the founding of New China, this old Red Army in Jiangxi, who was difficult to die, returned to his hometown to take up his post and eventually became the number one in Jiangxi Province.

In 1954, Yang Shangkui and his wife came to Gannan, where he had worked and fought, to visit the masses in the old district. Marshal Chen Yi was also serving in Jiangxi at that time, and he was the commander-in-chief and political commissar of the Jiangxi Military Region, commanding all the armed forces in Jiangxi. However, Chen Yi did not live here, and the military region was stationed in another place, not in Qiliping.

Yang Shangkui smiled and said, At that time, we were all like this, our cadres and masses were very closely related, neither the cadres nor the masses were called official titles, and li fuchun was the secretary of the Jiangxi provincial party committee at that time, and no one called him secretary Li, but all called him Comrade Li Fuchun, or directly called Fuchun.
