In the Sino-Singapore Iron and Steel Plant area, which is also "not closed" for the New Year, the roar of the machine is incessant, and in the No. 1 iron-making blast furnace, the molten iron that has been quenched at high temperature flows like a fire dragon along the trench. Nearly 2,000 employees of the company stayed on duty during the Spring Festival holiday, producing an average of about 11,000 tons of crude steel per day.

At the meeting, Xinyi Economic Development Zone formulated a clear task goal for the creation of a state-level development zone, with an average annual investment attraction project of more than 100 projects, more than 10 projects of "No. 1 Project" in three years, and more than 100 projects of 100 million yuan, while vigorously developing four characteristic advantageous industrial clusters of metallurgical materials, new chemical materials, high-end textiles, and intelligent electrical appliances, to ensure that the main economic indicators of the park will increase by more than 35% per year, and the industrial taxable sales will exceed 100 billion yuan in 2024.

In November 2021, the National Development and Reform Commission and other ministries and commissions explicitly supported the Xinyi Economic Development Zone to create a state-level economic development zone. There are more than 90 provincial-level development zones in Jiangsu Province, and this is the only one.
