No matter how heinous the crime, the perpetrator will always have a "reason". "Voices tell me to kill all these prostitutes", "He slept with my wife", "I did it in the name of [the gods inserted here]", these are all reasons often seen in newspaper headlines. But, every now and then, a killer comes out of his/her blood-stained crime scene and declares that his/her reasons are so bizarre that they cause society to pay attention to their behavior. Humanity's somewhat bloody lust, combined with a love of unexplainable things, makes the cases on this list both convincing and frightening.

We should all pay attention to our Ps and Qs more often. When you arrive at the station, say thank you to the bus driver. Add a "please" to your drink. Thanks to the friendly lover who made you a delicious meal (no, seriously, we should damn make sure we remember the last example.) In 2003, Fergus Glenn, 36, of Venuy Omata, New Zealand, had just made some dinner for his brother Craig. Craig, 33, happily finished his last meal without even saying "thank you, brother." This infuriated the apparently proud chef. Fergus hacked his brother to death with an axe, saying, "He just annoyed me, and I did it." I'm not proud, but I did." The feud between the two has been fermenting, and it has been going on since they had a punch-and-kick fight some time ago. But the lack of common etiquette was what drove Fergus to do so. He is currently serving a life sentence in prison. CJ Philips is an actor and writer from Swansea, South Wales. He's a little obsessed with lists.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="22" >2 Jeffrey Hudson, pride before the Fall</h1>

The legendary "Lord Minimus", the story of an English dwarf, court clown and slave is an amazing story. This man from Oakham, Rutland, was born in 1689. Among the many incredible events of his life (such as being captured and enslaved for 25 years by barbaric pirates, sharing his place in the royal palace with a Welsh giant named William Evans and a monkey named "Pag"), perhaps the most incredible story is the story of his duel with the brother of William Crofts, queen Henrietta's horse owner. While the 19-inch Hudson must have gotten used to jokes at his expense (he was the Queen's personal dwarf, emerging from a giant pie, dressed in miniature armor, and given to the Queen), there was one particular joke that was unbearable. After being insulted by the brothers of a semi-important courtier, they fought with a pistol on horseback, and Hudson shot his opponent in the head. The Queen's retinue moved to France to escape the War of England, and dueling was strictly forbidden. The Queen exiled him, and after a quarter of a century as a slave, he returned to England, eventually being imprisoned for being Catholic. A serious mystery remains – why didn't Terry Gilliam make a film about it?

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="23" >3 Armin Meiwes, mail order cannibals</h1>

The uncontrollable urge to slaughter and eat human flesh is often a sure sign that you've gone crazy. However, he politely and systematically carried out his "childhood fantasies", namely killing and cannibalism, which makes you think - is this a criminal or just a taboo breaker? Mevis posted information on the "Cannibal Cafe" website looking for a victim who was willing to accept it. He found one. After some people flinched after responding, (probably because of the realization that Meiwes was serious), Bernd Jürgen Armando Brandes, an engineer from Berlin, responded. After the two met, Bernd was eaten. But is this murder? After a preliminary trial, Meiwes was found guilty. It's manslaughter. However, a later retrial confirmed that he had indeed committed murder and that he was serving a life sentence in prison. This case blurs the line between what and what is not murder, but we can all agree that Meiwes's actions were unethical. Even Meiwes seemed to agree—he later called on people facing a similar cannibalistic fantasy dilemma to seek professional help before committing a crime. He is also now a vegetarian.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="24" >4 matrix defense</h1>

It is not new to blame popular media for various problems in society. Whether it's rock 'n' roll turning our kids into Satan-worshipping baby eaters (especially songs like The Who's Mamas got a Squeezebox!). Or is it professional wrestling on TV that makes people fight back against their own free will and younger siblings, and people like to find institutions to blame. Since The Matrix first landed on our screen and opened our eyes, there have been many surprising cases where the killers have come by claiming that they are in the movie... Or rather, the premise of the film is reality... That is, this is not reality, it is... What the. In recent years, so-called matrix defense has unexpectedly become popular. Tonda Lynn Hamilton was found not guilty of insanity after claiming that being "sucked into the matrix" led her to shoot the landlady in the head. Vadim Misigs, Joshua Cook, and Lee Malvo also relate their crimes to varying degrees to the film. It is expected that soon after the release of the movie, a wave of carnage inspired by Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues will begin, people!

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="25" >5 Walter Seiffert, hating doctors, killing children</h1>

- Excerpt from an open letter from Walter Seiffert, the perpetrator of the "Massacre of the Cologne Schools", to pharmaceutical companies, doctors and medical institutions. These chilling words were written by a man who, to a lesser extent, the government, had committed various unjust acts against him and thus became insane. He was diagnosed with schizophrenia, and he believed he had been cheated out of his war pension because doctors assessed that tuberculosis in his lungs was largely inactive and that his wife died in childbirth. He didn't like doctors, to say the least. Why this led him to carry out the most wicked school massacre is beyond the comprehension of any rational person. Seiffert made a spear out of a broom handle and a triangular scraper, and a flamethrower with a net-covered insecticide sprayer filled with organic oil and paint thinner. He killed eight students between the ages of 8 and 12 and two teachers. The madman later drank the pesticide and died before being brought to justice.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="26">6 Uroko-Onoa, too many wives</h1>

Successful businessman Onoja is having sex with his newest, youngest wife when his other five (yes, five) wives burst in and demand that he satisfy their desires too! That's not the worst thing to do, right? That's not the worst thing to do, right? Wrong: these horny ladies with knives and sticks surround this man and force him to have sex with each of them at the same time! After several rounds of rolling the sheets, his wife left with his husband. After a few rolls in the sack, it was the turn of the penultimate wife, but it was not successful. Onoa fell to the ground and died, probably due to a cardiac arrest due to exhaustion and shock. The report said he had been raped to death. So, what is the motivation? Simple jealousy. So, what's so weird about that? It was the collective jealousy of a group of wives. The latest report indicates that two of the wives have been arrested.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="27" >7 Craig-Walter, the unhappy angler</h1>

Back in 2005, two friends from east London decided to fish on the banks of a canal near London's Dog Island. Craig Walter, 34, and Maurice Wilson, 48, decided there were only two things that would make fishing easier: a ton of marijuana and a ton of alcohol. The pair smoked 15 cannabis sticks and drank a lot of alcohol, and Walter made up the "big head" of those two things. Needless to say, both gentlemen are now a bit "happy". Some smirked and looked at the world through a rather hazy but happy lens. Some become paranoid. In this case, we each have one. Unfortunately for Morris Wilson, walter with the knife was the one who was paranoid. Wilson spent most of his time preaching the wonders of the world that could be found and enjoying life. This seems to have had a rather negative effect on his fishermen friends. Finally, in the exclamation "I love life!" Later, Wilson found himself brutally attacked. He was stabbed a total of 17 times for admitting that he liked to exist.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="28" >8 Brenda-Ann Spencer, "She doesn't like Mondays."</h1>

"The silicon chip in her head/is switched to overload" – I don't like "Boom Town Mouse" monday. The Bob-Gildorfer band's pop song took a month to number one on the UK Singles Chart. Unlike most pop chart songs, the song is based on the notorious murderous mania committed by 16-year-old Brenda Ann Spencer at a school in San Diego. The teenage girl lives opposite Cleveland Elementary School. On January 9, 1979, she began shooting at some students waiting to enter the school from her house. Burton Wragg, the school's principal, was killed while trying to help some of the injured children, and administrator Mike Suchar was also shot while trying to help principal Ragnar. As the police began to rush to this terrible scene, the young Assassin began to fire at them. During the 7-hour lockdown of her parents, Spencer spoke by phone with a reporter. She eventually turned herself in to the police and was sentenced to life in prison. Her next parole will be in 2019. Oh, why would she do that? The only thing she said, even for a reason, was communicating with reporters during a shootout with police: "I don't like Mondays."

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="29" >9 Robert Leon, Lavigne's biggest and deadliest fan</h1>

How far will you go to watch a concert with your favorite singer? In 2011, 39-year-old Robert Leon stabbed his mother (who lived with him) to death because her mother refused to arrange Skybox tickets for Avril Lavigne's show in her hometown of Chicago. In the final venting of violence, Robert Leon smashed the 61-year-old woman to death with a bottle of champagne (in some reports, brandy) and then stabbed her 9 times in the back. The attack was said to have been so violent that the blade broke in her back and he had to grab the second one. But his deadly squeamishness didn't end: bizarrely, Leon threw Draenor and various sinks of cleaning liquid on his mother's corpse to "humiliate her", left the apartment to go shopping, and was later arrested at a local Hooters restaurant. He has been convicted and sentenced to 40 years in prison.

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="30" >10 Dennis Nelson, for the company to kill</h1>

Dennis Nelson is one of Britain's most prolific serial killers. He is also one of the most mysterious people. Between 1978 and 1983, Nelson went out on dates with 15 different men, he treated them nicely, and then murdered them. He strangled or drowned his victims, usually after they were drunk. He then tended the corpses, bathed them, then dressed them again, and then placed them in different parts of the living room, creating a terrible appearance. He treated the bodies like roommates and occasionally had sex with them. This process earned him the title of "Killer of Mercy". Nelson's killing began at his first address at 195 Melrose Avenue in London. He killed a total of 12 men at the address before moving to 23 Cranley Gardens, also in London, where he killed the other three. After sewer cleaning company Dyno Rod examined clogs and stench in Cranley Gardens, suspicious bones subsequently led to a police investigation. A bag full of human guts was found in a closet in Nelson, and police arrested the man. While rather ruthless about his crimes, Nelson did assist in every aspect of the police investigation. He helped locate the victim's remains at two addresses and provided detailed descriptions of the murder and the victim. Nelson has been likened to the American serial killer Jeffrey Damer for his motives of being merely lonely. His tendency to leave parts of his body and even the whole body in full view of the public during the day and interact with it is both pitiful and lamentable. Dennis Nelson is one of only a few prisoners in the UK to be imprisoned with no hope of parole.
