Ji Wenhua is a disabled elderly man living alone in The 7 Village of Petrochemical in Jinshan District, aged 65 this year. Due to congenital myopia and cataracts up to 1400 degrees in his eyes, everything in his world is blurred, which also makes it extremely difficult for him to live at home or go out to run errands.
In the second half of 2021, after the neighborhood committee learned about the situation of the elderly, it immediately sent Zhou Yuying, a volunteer with love, to pair up to help. Her appearance made this old man who has been groping in the "fuzzy world" for many years truly feel the love from the community.
The arrival of volunteers
At 8:00 a.m., the reporter followed volunteer Zhou Yuying to the home of the old man Ji Wenhua. Giab's home is not large, only more than 20 square meters, the house is slightly dim due to damage to the main lamp, the only lamp is the small table lamp on the bedside table.
With the help of the lamp, Zhou Yuying carefully classified the drugs that the elderly ate every day, and at the same time all affixed with notes in large font, marked with the category of drugs and the number of times taken per day.

Giab's eyes weren't very good, so I put a piece of paper on the medicine, wrote on it, and the words would be written a little bigger, reminding him not to take the wrong medicine.
A few years ago, after the main light in the house broke, the neighborhood committee offered to help Giab repair it, but for him who had eye diseases, the overly bright environment would cause discomfort.
Due to the insufficient light source, the inside of the room was a bit dark with only a small light. But Giab didn't need to be too bright, too bright was irritating to his eyes. Sometimes, I help him work in the dark, not necessarily clean, so in a day or two, I will go back to help him clean.
With the help of Zhou Yuying, ji Wenhua has not only been facilitated and improved in his daily life, but also has undergone great changes in his body and mind.
