Wu Zaimin, famous Dingxin, the word Jifang. A native of Gaogangli, Lougang Township, Kaiping County (City), Guangdong Province. He was born on the sixth day of September in the second year of the Qing Dynasty (1876) and died in Hong Kong on January 10, 1964.
Throughout his life, Wu Zaimin devoted himself to political and educational achievements, especially to revitalize Chinese education and to teach Kong Zhang.
Wu zaimin has been a servant for decades, and he has been a politician and a teacher and official since the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the People's Republic, and is a senior figure. Confucian official, easy to strategize, legendary life, and make a lot of contributions. The Kuomintang government was also very aware of this and gave him high honors and awards:
In 1915, the state government awarded him the Jiahe Medal;
In the spring of 1917, the President of the National Congress of the Republic of China awarded him a plaque entitled "Teaching The Linghai";
In 1955, Mr. Wu Zaimin's 90th birthday, Chiang Kai-shek gave him a life axis;
In 1964, when Mr. Wu Zaimin died, Chiang Kai-shek awarded him the title of "Teaching Achievement Kong Zhang".
Wu Zaimin, the purpose of lifelong struggle lies in Minye, which is the grand ambition he has long established and clearly declared to the world. His life's experience is interpreted by Lougang Yuying Primary School, Kaiping No. 1 Middle School, and Kaiqiao Middle School.
Wu Zaimin can be called a famous person in the field of education.
When Mr. Wu Zaimin was in full bloom, he witnessed the reality of external invasion and internal turmoil, economic downturn, and the weakness of the country and the poverty of the people. Looking at the history of China's rise and fall, he loudly proposed: "Education saves the country, science and technology rejuvenate the country, and Yili trees people." This is both a historical mission and an ambition.
In 1900, Mr. Wu Zaimin took advantage of the first winter vacation when he was studying at Beijing Normal University to return to his hometown, summoned the villagers and elders, proposed the abolition of private schools, and Shang Zhun established Yuying Primary School in Lougangwei, which wrote a new chapter for Kaiping County to open a primary school in the late Qing Dynasty and opened a new page in the history of the development of modern education in Kaiping. It predates the Yueshan "Bomin School", which was only opened in 1906 and whose name was written by Liang Qichao himself.
In 1918, Mr. Wu Zaimin and Mr. Li Jiecheng, then the county magistrate of Kaiping County, and others organized Kaiping Middle School (now Kaiping No. 1 Middle School).
In the 10 years of the Republic of China, in order to change the backward state of education in Benyi, Mr. Wu Zaimin has spent nearly 10 years in four times, and has gone to the Philippines, the United States, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries many times to raise funds from overseas Chinese and ethnic Chinese to develop Chinese education. Each time, it was actively supported by overseas Chinese and ethnic Chinese, and finally achieved positive results. He successfully founded Guangdong Kaiping Private Kaiqiao Middle School, and personally selected Chen Jiaji (a graduate of Guangdong High School and Wu Gaocai) who had both ability and political integrity as the principal.
Later, he raised donations overseas to build an overseas Chinese memorial hall, build additional school buildings, and expand equipment for Guangdong National University.
Today, Kaiping No. 1 Middle School Kaiqiao Middle School, which mr. Wu Zaimin has organized, has become a first-class school in Guangdong Province, a national-level demonstration ordinary high school, full of talents, and famous in wuzhou.
Although Mr. Wu Zaimin's career footprints only appear in Linghai, he fulfills his mission to benefit Yili, the country, and the merits!
