It has to be said that the advantage of domestic BMW only relying on the lengthening of the wheelbase is enough to make opponents at the same level feel afraid. Because, from the market performance of the past two years, the sales of imported BMW X5 have surpassed Mercedes-Benz GLE, Audi Q7 and other models.
Not only that, domestic consumers have always been full of good feelings about the longer wheelbase. This can be seen from the sales of long-wheelbase models of Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi.
From the perspective of product strength, the domestic BMW X5 is not much different from the imported version in terms of styling design, and the main change is still in the length and wheelbase of the car. Of course, the domestic version will also provide the M Performance suite version.
In terms of interior, although the new car as a whole does not adopt a dual screen design, the overall style is still the familiar BMW style. Moreover, in terms of configuration, the domestic BMW X5 is still equipped with a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument, a full-color HUD head-up display, a BMW iDrive interactive system, a crystal gear, and so on.
In terms of power, the domestic BMW X5, like the imported version, is equipped with a 2.0T four-cylinder and 3.0T six-cylinder engine. However, according to the previously declared information, the power of the new car has been improved, of which the maximum power of the 2.0T engine is 272 horsepower, and the maximum power of the 3.0T engine has reached 370 horsepower.
It is reported that the domestic BMW X5 is expected to be officially mass-produced in April this year, and the annual production capacity is expected to reach 121,000 vehicles per year. It can be said that for such a medium-sized luxury SUV, the production capacity is indeed not small.
From this, we can guess that the reason why the domestic BMW X5 will have such a large production capacity is because the new car may bring a surprise price in order to promote sales.
The official guidance price of the imported BMW X5 currently on sale is 699,900-839,900 yuan, and according to the previous pricing strategy of importing to domestic production, it is expected that the starting price of new cars will be reduced to less than 600,000 yuan.
If this is the case, the domestic BMW X5 is bound to pose a great threat to other models in the same level in the case of space improvement, power enhancement, and lower price.
