The reporter learned from the district recruitment office that last year, our district focused on completing the task of conscription reform twice a year, and successfully completed the annual conscription task with high standards. Among the recruits, the proportion of college students is 96.5%, the proportion of college graduates is 51.7%, and the online registration rate of school-age citizens has reached 100%, which has sent high-quality soldiers from Huangpu to national defense and army construction.

This year, we will continue to carry out conscription twice a year, and the conscription work in the first half of the year is steadily advancing, and more than 100 young people who are interested in joining the military camp and defending the country have been organized to complete physical examinations, and 49 scheduled new recruits have completed physical examinations and political review. It is reported that the recruitment work in the second half of the year will begin in August.
In order to continue to send high-quality soldiers to national defense and army building, this year, the focus of recruitment in Huangpu District will also focus on university graduates, science and engineering students and high-skilled talents. Through organizing and carrying out the pilot work of jointly performing the responsibility of military service recruitment by enterprises and public institutions in the jurisdiction and colleges and universities, we will explore a new path for the recruitment of young people with "paid enlistment" and newly recruited fresh university graduates, and form a "Huangpu model" that can be promoted, learned from, and copied throughout the city.
Li Zhongxing also particularly stressed that in the process of promoting the recruitment work, all links must strictly implement various measures for epidemic prevention and control, implement multiple batches of small numbers of physical examinations, nucleic acid testing one by one, centralized closed management, direct handover and transportation, etc., to ensure that the recruitment work has zero infection, no transmission, and the whole process is safe and smooth.
