In 2019, in order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the original drama "Choice" of the National Centre for the Performing Arts created a hardcore stage of Jinge Iron Horse, offering sincere works to countless revolutionary martyrs who sacrificed for New China. After two years, the National Centre for the Performing Arts once again convened stage artists such as screenwriter Li Baoqun, director Gong Xiaodong, stage designer Zhang Wu, lighting design Xing Xin, costume designer Ding Jiyan and other stage artists to form a "powerful warrior", polishing and upgrading the play in line with the concept of excellence, and renamed it "Winter 1948".
The drama focuses on Zhang Yufeng, an underground member of the Communist Party of China, who was ordered in the winter of 1948 to secretly organize and deploy armed uprisings behind enemy lines, and was a heroic legend who did not fear life and death in order to meet the victory of the Liberation War and the birth of New China. At the same time, Zhang Yufeng, Zhao Mengsheng, and other Communists were secretly plotting to rescue the families who had retreated south to the Liberated Areas, so as to relieve the rebel soldiers of their worries.
On the other hand, Zhou Keren raised questions about Zhang Yufeng's identity to Ma Ze'an. The uprising is imminent, and Zhang Yufeng must not only persuade his former brothers to abandon the dark and surrender to the light, but also hide their identities to ensure the smooth progress of the uprising. More than a dozen mechanical take-off and landing platforms on the stage flew up and down like a "metal cube", bringing everyone back to the memories of the four brothers who were born and died for decades: entering the imperial city to overthrow the imperial system and worship as brothers of the opposite sex; wielding a large knife to cut at the head of the devil, fighting against the enemy together; the differences of faith also made the brothers drift apart... Crisscrossing, not only let the viewer feel the impact between the metal, the rough grain is permeated with blood, but also makes people's hearts surging with blood, and can't help but pull the heartstrings for the fate of the characters in the play. It is even more important to relive the history of the Party and once again feel the firm faith strength and great national spirit of the Communist Party of China in the great journey.
