Recently, BMW Released a new generation of 7 Series trailer map, compared with the active model, the details of the new car inside and outside have been greatly adjusted, and a large number of scientific and technological elements. It is reported that the new 7 series will launch a fuel version, a plug-in hybrid version and an i7 pure electric model to choose from, and the actual car will be officially launched in April this year.
From the perspective of the front face, the new generation of 7 series still continues the brand family-style double kidney front grille design, but the caliber of the straight waterfall type middle net is larger than the old model, and the LED light strip decoration is added, and the double section headlight group on both sides is more narrow and long, and the laser light source is added in the middle, and the entire front face looks more visually impactful.
As with the appearance, the interior design of the new car is also more and more avant-garde temperament of new energy vehicles, the central control adopts a suspension double screen similar to iX, a large number of physical buttons are replaced by touch, the overall module division is more integrated, with flat straight lines outlined, the entire cockpit is more avant-garde and more simple.
Entering the rear row, the first thing that catches the eye is the front hanging oversized multimedia screen, which can be played in 16:9, 21:9 or even 32:9 formats, supplemented by Bowers & Wilkins 4D audio, digital intelligent interaction and starry skylight, which will provide an immersive luxury experience for rear row users.
At present, we do not know the powertrain of the new generation of the 7 series, but according to the current BMW powertrain lineup, its fuel version is most likely to be the main B58 series inline six-cylinder engine, and the plug-in hybrid version is expected to integrate the P2 layout of the electric drive module on the basis of the 8AT transmission as the current model.
As for the first i7 model, the car may be equipped with the sixth-generation eDrive electric drive system and incorporate a completely redesigned IT and software architecture. It is also reported that in the future, the 3 series, 5 series and the new generation of BMW X1 with lower brand positioning will launch EV pure electric versions, of which the BMW i3 will meet with the majority of consumers in 2022, pointing to Tesla Model 3, BYD Han EV and so on.
