Cheng Genhu (1939-2019) Is a native of Linyi, Shanxi. Famous Meido performance artist, the main worker Hua Dan, also played Lao Dan. Cheng Genhu began to learn art in 1953, and three days after learning to play, he staged "Fox Edge" and was praised as a "prodigy". In 1954, he became famous for his "Biography of Liu Yi", and was appreciated by the pu opera master Xiao Lanxiang and accepted as a disciple, and in the same year, the modern drama "Zhang Guirong" was staged to sensationalize the provincial capital. Since then, Cheng Genhu has entered the peak period of artistic creation, successively starring in "Liang Zhu", "Tianxian Match", "Three Jinshi", "Du Shiniang", "Splitting Mountain to Save Mother", "Zhang Guirong", "Liang Qiuyan", "Chaoyanggou", "Grain" and so on. In 1975, he taught at the Yuncheng Art School, and the peach and plum were full of gardens.

In the autumn of 1958, Xiao Lanxiang and Cheng Genhu met in Yuncheng, Xiao Lanxiang proposed that the two perform together in "Table Flower", Cheng Genhu played Huang Guiying, Xiao Lanxiang played Mei Ying, the two popular male Dan images are similar, similar temperament, the same stage performance, pearls together, become a good story in the drama world. In 1980, the China Academy of Arts recorded a fold of Cheng Genhu's "Table Flower", so that future generations can still appreciate his artistic style decades later. In June 1982, Xiao Lanxiang and Cheng Genhu's master and apprentice once again collaborated on "Table Flowers", and the roles were reversed, Xiao Lanxiang played Huang Guiying, and Cheng Genhu played Mei Ying, which once again caused a sensation in the drama world. In June 1983, the national leader came to Yuncheng to investigate, and Wang Xiulan and Cheng Genhu, who were the principals of the art school at the time, co-starred in "Table Flower", Wang Xiulan played Miss, and Cheng Genhu played Mei Ying. Two representative artists, Pu Opera and Meido, collaborated across the genres of "Table Flowers", which triggered thunderous applause from the theater. In April 1994, in the 60th anniversary performance of Xiaolanxiang's stage career, Puyuan rookie and Cheng Genhu's daughter-in-law Yang Yan played Huang Guiying, and Weng daughter-in-law co-starred in "Table Flower", which became a highlight of the commemorative activities.
