As of the draw, 29 of the Qatar World Cup round of 32 have been settled, and the remaining three participating teams will be determined by the play-offs in June this year. According to the rules of the draw ceremony, the host Qatar team and the seven highest-ranked teams in the world form eight first-class "seeded teams", and the remaining teams are divided into second, third and fourth stages according to the world ranking (including 3 play-off teams that have not yet been determined). With the exception of UEFA's teams, the rest of the continental FIFA teams are in different groups, and each group can only have a maximum of 2 European teams.

The draw ceremony was hosted by film star Idris Elba and sports journalist Resmin Chowdhury. Draw guests include legendary coach Milutinovic, who led the Chinese men's football team to the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan, as well as German legend Mateus, Brazil's former captain Kafo, Nigerian star Okocha and Iran's legendary goalscorer Ali Dei.

After the draw ceremony begins, the host Qatar directly enters the first position of Group A, and the remaining 7 teams in the first bracket are placed in the first position of Group B to Group H; the second draw begins, and each team will not only enter different groups according to the results of the draw, but also determine the group position through the lottery (determining the schedule match).

Group B: England, European play-offs, Iran, USA

Group C: Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Poland

Group D: France, Intercontinental Play-offs 1, Denmark, Tunisia

At the same time as the group was announced, the opening match of the Qatar World Cup has also been determined, and the host of the A1 position, Qatar, will face Ecuador in the A2 position.

According to the schedule, the Qatar World Cup will be held from November 21 to December 18.
