2022 marks the 120th anniversary of the birth of Zhou Peiyuan, a famous fluid mechanician, theoretical physicist, educator and social activist from Yixing.
As a scientist, Zhou Peiyuan promotes the progress of Chinese science with his unique keen vision, persistent and scientific attitude; as an educator, he accompanies the development of China's education with an open-minded mind, rigorous and meticulous spirit; as a patriot, he also realizes the ideal of "saving the country through science" with practical actions.
In order to commemorate Mr. Zhou Peiyuan, inherit and carry forward the spirit of Peiyuan, show the spiritual style of Zhou Peiyuan and his work and life in Yixing, witness and maintain the historical status of celebrities, closely follow the goal positioning of Yixing City of "concentrating on building a regional international center city and striving to walk in the forefront of modernization", combined with the boom trend of building "Peiyuan Science City", the collection activity of "Science Giant Guangyao Xingyi - 'The Story of Zhou Peiyuan and His Hometown'" was specially held.

3. Old story
Following the principle of "personal experience, personal witness, personal hearing", it can tell the stories related to Mr. Zhou Peiyuan in memory, etc., and the forms of expression include but are not limited to text, audio, video, etc.

There are three kinds: transfer, donation and storage. All relevant materials formed in the course of business within the scope of archiving shall be transferred to the Yixing Municipal Archives and History Museum in accordance with the regulations; all materials with preservation value owned by individuals, if I wish, can be donated and preserved to the "Former Residence of Zhou Peiyuan"; all materials that are personally owned, more precious, and I request to retain ownership can be deposited with the collection activity group.

Event Notes
1． Old photos can be recognized, no serious scratches, distortion, color, black and white are not limited, the style and form of the work are not limited, can be one or a group.
2． Old photographs and old objects must be submitted with detailed instructions. Old photos should indicate the time and place of shooting, and whether they are original or remade, with a story introduction related to the content of the photo. Old objects should also indicate their name, time, and story.
3． The text of the manuscript is not limited to handwriting or printing, and must be clearly written and the narrative is organized and based.
4． The video requires a clear picture and stable lens; the audio and video must have a clear sound quality, the duration should be within 5 minutes, mandarin or dialect narration can be, and text content should be attached; the file audio should be in MP3 format and the video should be in MP4 format.
5． Please indicate the name, mailing address and contact information of the owner of the object.
6. The submitter shall ensure that there is no ownership dispute over the old photographs and other related objects submitted, and that the image rights, copyrights, and authorship rights involved are the responsibility of the provider, and have nothing to do with the collecting unit.
7. The right of final interpretation of this activity belongs to the organizer.
