Different from traditional physicians, in addition to mastering solid internal medicine theory, he also likes to "hands-on", has been studying respiratory interventional diseases for many years, and has taken the lead in carrying out internal medicine thoracoscopic technology, bronchoscopic freezing technology and percutaneous lung tumor radiofrequency ablation in the whole region, providing opportunities for minimally invasive treatment for patients who cannot tolerate surgery. Among them, the radiofrequency ablation technology of percutaneous tumor is a national restricted technology, with extremely strict access qualifications, and Wang Zhen is currently one of the few doctors in our district who have this technical qualification.

When the epidemic struck, the District People's Hospital became a designated isolation hospital, and in the case of a serious shortage of infectious doctors and the general lack of public awareness of the disease, Wang Zhenyi rushed to the front line of the fight against the epidemic without hesitation, becoming the first reinforcement doctor stationed in the fever clinic and infection building of the hospital. "At that time, everyone knew very little about the new coronavirus pneumonia, and I was a respiratory medicine doctor who should use my professional expertise." Wang Zhen said. So he took the initiative to ask for help, and rushed to the forefront of epidemic prevention without hesitation.

During the epidemic, the hospital's infection building was completely closed. Whether the previous layout of the infection building meets the latest prevention and control requirements, whether the setting of the three districts and two passages is reasonable, whether the process of hospital sense work is in place, and whether the logistical support of medical staff is effectively implemented, etc., all need to be explored and understood at the first time. On the one hand, Wang Zhen assists the infection department to alleviate the pressure of insufficient manpower; on the other hand, he actively maintains communication with the outside world, continuously optimizes the process, and ensures that various hospital infection prevention and control measures are in place. He worked 72 hours in the infection isolation ward and high-risk fever clinic, receiving more than 300 calls a day. In order to reduce the consumption of supplies, he also reduced the number of times he ate and went to the toilet.

After the end of the isolation observation, he returned to the administrative post non-stop to coordinate the allocation of medical group personnel and medical supplies, the upload and release of information, the on-site disposal of emergencies, and the preparation of follow-up hospital isolation points. In addition to his daily work, he also took the initiative to sign up for the temperature measurement of returnees at night. From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. the next day, the temperature of passing vehicle personnel will be measured and registered on the national highway.

Wang Zhen used his professional knowledge to protect the well-being of the masses on one side, and in the face of urgent, difficult, dangerous, and heavy tasks, he bravely shouldered heavy burdens and fearlessly retrograde, giving full play to the vanguard and exemplary role of communist party members, showing the lofty spirit of benevolence of doctors and the good image of medical workers in the new era.
