In fact, as early as 2001, Changan Automobile began to set foot in the field of new energy.
In 2020, Changan has announced the completion of the research and development of three new dedicated electric platforms of EPA0, EPA1 and EPA2, and mastered the development capabilities of the "three electric" systems, and launched new energy core components such as "0 fire" batteries, Changan new generation super-collector electric drives, and intelligent vehicle domain controllers "Changan Smart Core".
That is to say, Chang'an has been "closed cultivation" in the field of new energy for many years.
On April 13, Changan Automobile held the 2022 Global Partnership Conference. The content of the conference can be roughly divided into two aspects, one is the upcoming new models and future product planning. That is to say, as many as 36 new products will be proposed in the near future, and sales will reach 4 million vehicles in 2025.
On the other hand, it is a top-down transformation measure to achieve the "double carbon target" and then to a "smart low-carbon travel technology company".
In terms of products, Changan Deep Blue is a new digital pure electric brand.
Different from "Avita", "Deep Blue" is led by Changan Automobile, and Changan New Energy as an operating platform is oriented to the "mainstream passenger car market" priced at 150,000-300,000 yuan to meet the needs of Generation Z new energy users for quality green travel.
What needs to be emphasized here is that the "C385" is based on the EPA1 platform, using the self-developed platform and self-developed intelligent technology developed by Changan Forward (including automatic driving, AR HUD, hydrogen fuel cell stack, etc.). The new car will be benchmarked Tesla Model 3, Xiaopeng P7, etc.; at the same time, the crossover SUV "C673" will also be released within the year.
The Avita brand shoulders the mission of Changan Automobile's brand upwards and is committed to creating high-end intelligent electric vehicles. All product platforms and intelligent technologies come from the technical cooperation of Changan, Huawei, and Ningde Times. Among them, all models of the brand will be equipped with Huawei's HI full-stack intelligent vehicle solution.
Not only that, Changan also announced that it will promote UNI brand operations and realize the electrification of all products, in addition to the current main focus of the iDD hybrid series, the UNI brand will release UNI-K PHEV, UNI-V PHEV and other models after ushering in independence, and even the first domestic mass-produced hydrogen fuel cell car is about to debut.
2022 is the 160th year of Changan Automobile's establishment, and it is also the third time changan automobile has started its business since entering the automotive industry in 1984.
Changan Automobile is focusing on establishing a hydrogen energy R&D, manufacturing and testing system covering "parts-system-vehicle", and independently mastering system integration and control technology.
Among them, the deep blue brand will also expand to the direction of extended range and hydrogen fuel cell power. It is also thanks to the strong expansion of Changan's self-developed pure electric platform EPA that the Deep Blue C385 can achieve three powertrains of pure electric, range extender hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell.
In addition, in terms of "a new generation of deeply integrated electric drive" and "enhanced energy consumption integrated design", Changan Automobile is still continuing to increase its research and development of new technologies.
Soon after, the production of the 800V electric drive platform and the further reduction of the energy consumption of the whole vehicle will greatly enhance the competitiveness of new products in the market segment.
In addition, in terms of ecological layout, Changan will work with strategic partners such as the State Grid and Aodong to develop advanced fast charging and power replacement technologies around the pain points of user energy replenishment, pilot the filling center integrating light storage and charging, and create a one-stop green energy supplement service ecology for users
In addition, Changan will achieve digital transformation from three aspects: product, marketing and manufacturing. For example, Changan Deep Blue will adopt a new retail format + direct sales model similar to Tesla to achieve price transparency and unified dynamic pricing; it will build four major center systems: order center, delivery center, maintenance center and butler center.
On the whole, whether it is Changan Deep Blue or Avita, it is the concentrated release of Changan Automobile's new energy technology accumulation for more than 20 years.
