The 20th China University Student Athletics Championships sponsored by the China University Sports Association and the Chinese Athletics Association ended on August 5 at Zhejiang University, and four students, Ma Haobo, Wang Tao, Gao Yufei and Han Hao, from the School of Physical Education of Northwest Normal University, competed in seven sub-events in the men's group C and group D. In the end, Ma Haobo won the silver medal in the men's Group 10,000 meters and the bronze medal in the 3000 meters steeplechase; Wang Tao won the bronze medal in the men's Group C 10,000 meters and the fourth place in the 5,000 meters; Gao Yufei won the sixth place in the men's Group 5,000 meters, Han Hao won the sixth place in the men's Group D shot put; Northwest Normal University ranked 15th in the overall score of the men's Group C and D groups.
After 30 years of development, the China Collegiate Athletics Championships have become the largest, most participating and most widely participated in the national sports event of the China University Sports Association. A total of 80 events were held in this competition, with 2,778 athletes and coaches from 255 universities participating.
