The music ended and applause broke out. On March 16, in the 35th round of the regular season of the 2022-2023 China Men's Basketball Professional League (CBA), a special cheerleader team impressed the audience during the intermission of Beijing Holdings against Shanxi Fenjiu Co., Ltd.
This cheerleading team is composed of hearing-impaired students from the Beijing Jianxiang School Dance Troupe. Under the sign language command of the dance troupe teacher, they completed a wonderful performance, and the atmosphere was warm.
In September 2014, Liao Qian began to serve as the instructor of the Beijing Jianxiang School Dance Troupe, which currently has more than 20 hearing-impaired students. In her opinion, dance training can enrich the spare time life of hearing-impaired students, improve their physical coordination, and also enhance their sense of cooperation and team honor.
Children with hearing impairment need to pay more when it comes to dance training. Liao Qian said that to complete a dance, teachers and students need to practice each movement repeatedly, so that the music and movements "grow" in the body.
The hard work paid off, and with their joint efforts, the school dance troupe has won many awards in dance competitions at all levels. While performing, the children also infected the audience with a sunny and optimistic spirit.
"When dancing, I will use courage and confidence to dance my body, enjoy the ups and downs of music, changes in emotions, enjoy the retraction of movements, and dance my own youth." Wang Guohui, a student of the dance troupe, said.
