Inheritance and innovation are the eternal themes of cultural development, and jade, as a traditional carving material, needs to constantly expand new themes and keep pace with the times in order to pass on this traditional culture. On the basis of continuing traditional skills, combined with the aesthetics of the new era, explore new possibilities for carving. The integration of two-dimensional and jade creation is a new attempt and breakthrough I have made in this regard.
China's jade culture is thousands of years old, and each stage has its own characteristics of development, different characteristics, different themes and so on. As a contemporary trend art, the two-dimensional theme is loved by young people, and combined with the historical natural jade, it has formed a unique figurine art super species that cannot be imitated and copied.
Traditional jade has natural beautiful colors, delicate jade texture, and complements each other with the new aesthetic of the second dimension, forming a unique form of contemporary art, which is also an expression of keeping pace with the times.
Since I started sculpting in 1989, I felt that I should make something I liked, so I wanted to integrate many beautiful plots and character proportions in the second dimension into the sculpture. This road of exploration has been walking for more than 30 years, with oriental aesthetics and anime modeling and imagination, and using beautiful jade with the characteristics of heaven and earth, the three have been integrated into my anime style jade carving. Among them, this "Dancing Spring Breeze" is a cheerful and expressive piece, combining formal beauty and artistic beauty, highlighting the aesthetic characteristics of the times.

Ideas
In terms of creation, I don't want to simply copy the original fighting plot, but reintegrate and recreate, according to the characteristics of the characters, with the posture of dance, reconstruct the meaning of the scene, and show a different sense of beauty and thought.
The use of colorful carving techniques makes the layers clearer and more definite and strengthens the space of the work. The main character is arranged in the most essential part of the whole carnelian, and the large area of glossy surface shows the beauty of the texture and color of carnelian jade. The two characters are staggered, the dancing posture is light and agile, and the moment of freeze jumping, coupled with the streamers dancing behind the characters, greatly reduces the bulkiness caused by the large amount of rough stones, and the overall situation presents an upward trend. The pavilion on the side and the vibrant flowers dissolve the mottled texture while also enriching the scene, full of vitality and full of spring atmosphere.
"Dancing Spring Breeze", each taking one word from the name of the main characters "Fire Dance" and "Chunli", and it fits the scene of the entire dance, and the title also contains deep meaning, "Spring water is born, spring forest is blooming, spring breeze ten miles, not as good as you" poetic romance.
