The forewings are transparent at the tip and the hindwings and ventral dorsals are black. Occurs 3 generations a year. Overwinters with eggs under the skin of tree trunks and branches. Incubating in April of the following spring, nymphs clustered on a variety of plants, with the first generation of adults appearing in May-June, the second generation of adults appearing in July-August, and the third generation of adults appearing in September-November. Adult and nymphs have strong phototropism. It occurs heavily in ditches and overgrown strawberry groves.

(2) Prevention and control methods:
(1) Prevent spawning. For strawberry orchards with severe insect infestations between the rows of fruit trees such as apples and pears, before the adults lay eggs, whitewash the woody fruit trees to prevent egg laying and eliminate overwintering eggs.
(2) Black light booby trap. During the adult stage, set up black lights to trap the adults.
(3) Pharmaceutical prevention and control. When a large number of sprays are prevented, the agent has 40% Lego emulsion 1000 times liquid, 50% octyl thiophos 1000 times liquid. The medication is discontinued 3 weeks before strawberry fruit harvest.
(4) Eliminate weeds. Remove weeds from and around the park.
