On December 16, the third phase of the IPP "Future Forum" hosted by the Institute of Public Policy (IPP) of South China University of Technology - Academic Seminar on Coordinated Development and Common Prosperity of Urban and Rural Regions, the Kick-off Meeting of the Expert Think Tank of the "Millions of Projects" in Nansha District, and the Conference on the Results of the "Guangdong Common Prosperity and Rural Revitalization Model" were held in Nansha, Guangzhou.
The forum invited experts from academia, politics and business circles to summarize the experience and challenges of exploring common prosperity in the mainland around topics such as coordinated development of urban and rural areas, rural revitalization and common prosperity, and provide policy suggestions for better implementation of major strategies such as rural revitalization and the "Ten Million Project".
Liu Palmhui, Director of the Agricultural Office of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and Director of the Provincial Rural Revitalization Bureau, pointed out that the mainland has a huge rural population base and obvious differences in resource endowments. At present, Guangdong is implementing the "Millions of Projects" project with the strength of the number one project, setting off the fiery practice of "strengthening counties and promoting towns and villages", and promoting the coordinated development of urban and rural areas.
Mai Junhong, deputy secretary of the Huagong Party Committee, said that in order to fully implement the specific deployment of the "1310" of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, the school has formulated a plan for Chinese workers to support the "Millions of Projects", implemented the "Double Hundred Action", and strived to build a benchmark for school-local cooperation to help the "Millions of Projects", and contributed to the high-quality development of Guangdong with "Huagong Wisdom".
Xie Wei, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee of Guangzhou Nansha Development Zone (Nansha Area of the Free Trade Zone), introduced that Nansha is taking the "Nansha Plan" as the key starting point to implement the "Millions and Millions Project" in depth, accelerate the realization of urban and rural "beauty in its own way, beauty and beauty", and strive to build a modern city with "smart growth, exquisite urban area, Lingnan characteristics, pastoral style, and Chinese style". The expert think tank of Nansha's "Millions and Thousands Project" was officially launched, which will provide stronger intellectual support for Nansha to promote new urbanization and rural revitalization.
Zheng Yongnian, chairman of the Academic Committee of the Huagong Institute of Public Policy, said that the institute is a public policy research platform with the mission of knowledge innovation, focusing on the study of China's modernization, and Nansha is one of the important windows for its observation and research. In the future, we will carry out international, forward-looking and operational policy research in Nansha, actively participate in solving the problems faced by Nansha and the Greater Bay Area, and strive to become the most influential high-end think tank brand in the Pan-Pearl River Delta region.
Luo Biliang, deputy director of the Agriculture and Rural Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and dean of the National Agricultural System and Development Research Institute of South China Agricultural University, Wu Xun, professor of innovation, entrepreneurship and public policy of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), Wu Chongqing, director of the South China Rural Research Center of Sun Yat-sen University, and more than ten experts, scholars and entrepreneurs were appointed as members, and Zheng Yongnian served as the chairman. In addition, Lin Huanghuang, a researcher at the Huagong Public Policy Research Institute, also released the research results of the key topic "Guangdong Common Prosperity and Rural Revitalization Model".
