"Passengers with No. 26 plates are requested to pass through the security check in an orderly manner with their passports and ferry tickets in hand. Under the guidance of AIDA Cruises staff, nearly 4,000 passengers completed the pre-departure security check in an orderly manner.

The shipbuilding industry is the culmination of modern industry, known as the "crown of comprehensive industry", highlighting a country's comprehensive industrial strength, among which large cruise ships are known as one of the three "pearls" in the crown of the shipbuilding industry.
In April 2013, when General Secretary Xi Jinping inspected the Phoenix Cruise Port in Sanya, Hainan, he pointed out that "vigorously developing the cruise industry is a great thing for the benefit of the country and the people", and proposed that "we should vigorously develop the cruise industry and build our own cruise ships".
"Thanks to this era, the predecessors have entrusted us with the responsibility of picking the most dazzling pearl in the crown of the shipbuilding industry. Yang Guobing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of CSSC Cruise Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CSSC Cruises") and Chairman of AIDA Cruise Co., Ltd., lamented in an interview with the reporter of the State-owned Assets Report.
Grasp the core research and development and strengthen the cruise industry
The magic capital sets sail, and the world of Aida is reached. In late winter and early spring, the cruise ship sailed in the Pacific Ocean with a wind speed of 12 knots per hour, which was smooth and peaceful.
Since 2016, China has become the world's second-largest cruise market after the United States. However, for a long time, large cruise ships have been the only unfinished high-tech, high-value-added ship products in China's shipbuilding industry.
In order to pick up this last "pearl" of the shipbuilding industry, in 2013, China Shipbuilding Group launched the domestic large-scale cruise ship project, formulated the implementation path of technology introduction, digestion and absorption, and re-innovation, and took the independent design and construction of large-scale cruise ships as the "No. 1 project" to achieve high-quality development. In July 2018, CSSC adjusted and established CSSC Cruises as the overall responsible unit for the development of the cruise industry.
As the development platform of CSSC's cruise industry, CSSC Cruises has determined the development strategy of "system development, international cooperation and independent innovation" at the beginning of its establishment, coordinated the development of cruise operations, R&D and design, and supply chain business, and strived to build a local cruise ecosystem.
On the operation side, AIDA Cruises Co., Ltd. was established as a joint venture with the world's largest cruise operating company, Carnival Group, and steadily moved towards the goal of China's cruise flagship enterprise; on the development side, CSSC Fencantieri Joint Venture Co., Ltd. was established with the world's largest cruise manufacturer, Fincantieri Group, to complete the detailed design of domestic cruise ships through technology introduction, digestion, absorption and re-innovation; and on the supply chain side, advanced domestic and foreign manufacturers were incorporated into China's cruise industry through acquisitions, joint ventures, etc., and a local supply chain system supporting the general contracting and independent operation of cruise projects was initially built。
Docked at Shanghai's home port, the Aida Modu has been shadowing for ten years for a hundred years, and the mountains and seas have been sailing for thousands of years.
In recent years, CSSC Cruises has coordinated the promotion of cruise operations, design and construction and supply chain construction, integrated domestic and foreign resources, and built a business platform for the cruise ecosystem. In terms of operation and management, the independent operation system has been initially completed, giving full play to the top advantages and building a high-end brand; in terms of design, domestic large-scale cruise ships have been independently developed, and the design of 150,000 and 80,000 gross tons of independent cruise ships has been launched, and the talents are complete and strong; in the supply chain, independent operation has been realized, reducing costs and increasing efficiency, and enhancing competitiveness; in terms of technology, core technologies such as weight and center of gravity, vibration and noise, and safe return to Hong Kong have been overcome one by one.
"Cruise is a 'less to less' industry, Chinese cruise ships and overseas cruise ships are full ecological competition, the ultimate purpose of international cooperation is for independent innovation, independent design, independent application. As a veteran worker with 20 years of experience, Yang Guobing has a cautious positioning for the Aida Modu: to be the "most Chinese" international cruise ship, to serve the Chinese as its own responsibility, and to work together with the industry for win-win cooperation, and to strengthen the industrial chain together.
As the first large-scale cruise ship built in China, Aida Modu has completely independent intellectual property rights, which is an attempt to break the monopoly of foreign countries and realize the independence and controllability of China's large-scale cruise ships.
Large cruise ships have the cross-cutting and customized product attributes of "ship + hotel + entertainment", and more consideration should be given to the needs of "people". So, how to reasonably organize the space inside the ship, so that users perceive Chinese customization? According to professionals, the key is to do a good job in cruise ship interior.
In order to build a local cruise supply chain system with cruise interior decoration as the core, Yang Guobing led his team to Frankfurt in the Spring Festival of 2019 to successfully negotiate with Rheinhold &Mahla Group (hereinafter referred to as "R&M Group"), an excellent supplier in the ship interior decoration industry. Since then, the core supply chain enterprises represented by R&M Group have injected "century-old ingenuity" into China's cruise industry and undertaken the historical mission of localizing cruise supply.
The reporter saw on the boat, from the Dunhuang "Flying Ribbon" spray-painted on the hull to the "Han Xizai's Night Banquet" inlaid in the restaurant, the Aida Modu was carefully designed everywhere to highlight the national style. Huang Xuezhong, Chief Strategy Expert of CSSC Cruises, said: "China's cruise industry shoulders the responsibility of creating and leading high-end consumer demand, as well as driving and promoting the transformation and upgrading of the equipment manufacturing industry, and China will become the world's most important cruise source country and the largest cruise construction base."
