  • As part of the Adopt Your Allergies campaign, Sanofi Consumer HealthCare held the country's first cat-attended press conference in Colombia to introduce the first-ever "Casa de Adopción de Amores Imposibles", giving journalists and content creators the opportunity to meet with cats and learn about the program aimed at increasing cat adoption rates in the Latin American country.

BOGOTA, Colombia, April 9, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- To promote responsible adoption, Sanofi Consumer HealthCare has partnered with the world's gentlest and furriest presenter, Cat, for the first time, to hold a press conference. At this launch, the company released the "Adopt Your Allergies" program, which aims to encourage the adoption of neutered cats and allow allergy sufferers to realize their dream of having a cat. Attendees had the opportunity to meet about 30 felines.

In Colombia's capital, Sanofi Consumer HealthCare and the Adopta No Compres Foundation have launched a new "Impossible Love Adoption Home." It is a space open to the public and mainly for people who want to fulfill their dream of adopting a cat, giving them the opportunity to meet future family members. By the end of the launch, more than 300 adoption applications had been received.

Based on the idea of strengthening self-care, the campaign combines Sanofi Consumer HealthCare's social commitment with a positive impact on the lives of people and their pets. The campaign is supported by a series of key scientific findings: humans are allergic to the Fel d1 protein, which is produced in the sebaceous glands and skin of felines and transferred to their fur and dander when groomed. Studies have shown that when cats are neutered, the secretion of this allergen decreases by 90%.
